Novotel Paris Centre Tour Eiffel

A small replica of the Statue of Liberty stands at the entrance to the hotel. Inside, the lobby is usually bustling and crowded, and feels a bit like an airport. Floor-to-ceiling windows, large gray striped area rugs, red tables, and gray couches create a seating area on one side of the lobby, while the other side includes neutral modern chairs set on white tile. Modern Asian decorations are matched to tan tile and wood tones throughout the Benkay Restaurant, and there are beautiful views of Paris and the Seine River. Bar Le Seine is a casual space with neon high chairs, gray carpet, and flat-screen TVs mounted on the walls in addition to colorful mood lighting and soft couches. Jazz music plays throughout the Novotel Cafe and there are dark wood countertops in the serving area. Wood floors, yellow modern chairs, and navy blue carpet also decorate the space. Outside, there is a lovely terrace space with gray wicker furniture. Guests run the gamut from families to couples, business travelers, and locals on staycation. 

The Novotel Paris Centre Tour Eiffel does have views of the Eiffel Tower, but expect a 20-minute walk to the iconic structure. The location is more convenient to Pont de Grenelle, the Statue of Liberty-Paris, shops, and restaurants, which are a five-minute walk away. Pont Mirabeau, Bir Hakeim and Charles Michel metro lines, as well as Maison de la Radio, are a 10-minute walk from the hotel, while Palais de Chaillot, Champ de Mars, and the Eiffel Tower are a 10-minute drive. The Arc de Triomphe and the Musee d'Orsay are also a 10-minute drive away, while the Louvre and Notre Dame Cathedral are 15 minutes by car or cab. The metro can reach the Louvre or Musee d'Orsay in 30 minutes. Orly Airport and Charles de Gaulle Airport are 20 and 30 minutes away by car, respectively, though those times depend on traffic. Only valet parking is available at the hotel, but taxis are plentiful and the neighborhood is walkable. 

Minimalist clean lines and a neutral color palette adorn all of the spacious rooms (starting at 20 square meters, or 215 square feet), while abstract art on the walls adds a bit of color. Brown carpets, tan armchairs, and light wood furniture look simple, but modern, while flat-screen TVs sit on multicolored wood desks. Rooms feature speakers for MP3 players, safes, air-conditioning and minibars with bottled water. Some rooms have living areas, bathrobes, and Nespresso coffeemakers, though others suffer from ventilation noise and lack coffeemakers. Tan and white tile cover modern bathrooms, with blue accent walls and white contemporary sinks. Glassed-in tile showers and Novotel toiletries are provided. However, some rooms don’t have tubs and guests complain about the separate water closet room, which lacks a sink. We also noticed a bit of mold and corrosion in the showers when we visited. The best rooms here have stunning views of Paris and the Seine River, though this is a massive hotel and those views will vary.

Features at Novotel Paris Centre Tour Eiffel are convenient and well thought out, though there are fees attached to some that aren't welcome. Authentic Japanese cuisine is served at the Benkay Restaurant and Bar La Seine has snacks, beers, and cocktails. Four distinct breakfast options (for a fee) as well as desserts, sandwiches, pasta, fish, cocktails, wine, and beer are offered at the Novotel Cafe. For travelers truly in a hurry, there's the L’Instant Nomade area with vending machines containing snacks and drinks as well as souvenirs and gifts. Room service is available.

An unexpected indoor pool is framed with neutral chairs and a gray tile deck, as well as a huge skylight overhead. There's also a large fitness center with cardio machines and weights. The business center features Apple computers on white desks in the lobby and meeting rooms are available. Wi-Fi is free for the first two hours, then there's a charge for additional service. Pets are welcome for a fee. The hotel has a video game area for guests with children and there is valet parking (for a fee).
