Bottom Line

Westgate Park City Resort & Spa is a large ski-in, ski-out property situated at the base of the Canyons Resort gondola. A mix of regular and timeshare rooms consist mainly of apartment-style quarters with washers and dryers, full kitchens, and separate living areas. A formal and a casual restaurant, a large indoor/outdoor pool, a modest spa, a free shuttle service to town, and an entertainment center for children are a few of the many amenities at the four-pearl resort. Boots and skis are kept on separate floors, and buildings are not always well-marked and thus can be difficult to find. There have been occasional reports of lapses in cleanliness; different agencies may be responsible for the upkeep of the timeshare and non-timeshare rooms.

Westgate Park City Resort & Spa

Scene

Large faux-stone six-story lodge buildings arranged in a village-like configuration

The resort is a large complex of faux-stone buildings, each of which is about six stories high and has its own lobby. There's also a central main lobby set off of a drive-in carport, which is furnished with high ceilings, several fireplaces, and massive windows. Western wildlife motifs adorn the wallpaper throughout the buildings, and interior architecture and decor has a mountain lodge style, with wood beams and tufted leather couches.

The rooms here vary somewhat between the timeshare and non-timeshare units, though most maintain a more subdued version of the woodsy theme prominent in the rest of the property, incorporating wood floors, photographs of local nature, imitation cherrywood furniture, and earth tones throughout. Smaller rooms have kitchenettes with mini-fridges, double burners, and tiny sinks, while larger ones have full kitchens with stoves, ovens, fridges, and plenty of cookware and dishes. Bathrooms contain either a big shower/tub combo or have an antechamber with a large whirlpool tub and a walk-in shower in the bathroom. All rooms have at least one sleeper sofa, an iron, a makeup mirror, a TV for each room, and bathrobes. Some apartments have two bathrooms.
