Roussos Beach Hotel

The traditional white walls and simple decor of this Cycladic-style building give it a homey feel, with striped gray cushions and blue paintings adding a nautical touch. The communal courtyard is a highlight, where guests sit beneath vine-laced wooden beams, starting each day with a fresh, homemade breakfast. With no on-site facilities, the hotel has a quiet vibe. In fact, many guests spend their time out exploring the region, and it may feel empty during the day and evening. 

This hotel is in the north of Paros Island, across the road from the golden sands of Agii Anargiri Beach. Set on the quiet outskirts of Naoussa village, yet only a 10-minute walk to its shops, bars, and restaurants, it's a good spot for any traveler who likes to be near the action without being right on top if it. The local Moraitis Winery is a three-minute walk away. Guests wanting to explore the island a little more should consider renting bikes, cars, or motorcycles, as there's plenty to see and do. Picturesque Piperi Beach is a five-minute drive away, and the Museum of Archaeology in Paros Town (as well as ferries to the other islands) are 20 minutes by car. Keen windsurfers can reach the popular Santa Maria beach in five minutes by car, and the lively town of Parikia is a 20-minute cab ride away. Paros airport is 30-minutes by car, and the hotel offers free transport to Naoussa bus station. 

With whitewashed exteriors, dark wood shutters, and vibrant potted plants dotted around the property, Roussos Beach Hotel blends in well with its traditionally quaint surroundings. This style is carried through into all 18 rooms of this two-story hotel, with a simple blue and white palette throughout. All Triple and Double Rooms are clean and small in size. The overall effect is bright and fresh and is a nice step up from other nearby budget or mid-range hotels. Though compact, rooms have picturesque views of the sea or gardens, as well as private balconies and patios with seating. Furniture is kept simple, with metal frame beds, whitewashed side tables, antique lamps, and a small wardrobe in every room. Technology, such as tube TVs, air-conditioning, phones, safes, hairdryers, and mini-fridges, are a little outdated. Bathrooms are also on the small side, with tiled walls, showers, and decently sized vanities. Limited toiletries, towels, and bottled water are provided.

Despite its peaceful beachside location, this hotel falls short in terms of on-site facilities, which may be an issue for some. Although Agii Anargiri Beach is across the road, there is no pool at the hotel. The building consists solely of rooms, along with a communal courtyard where a traditional Greek breakfast of eggs, bacon, cereals, yoghurt, breads, coffee, and juice is served daily, albeit at an additional fee.
