Stelia Mare Boutique Hotel

The tranquil, friendly atmosphere of the Stelia Mare Boutique Hotel has plenty of appeal, though its low-key atmosphere means those looking for a vibrant social spot may want to head elsewhere. Located on a quiet road, it's just a 10-minute-walk to Naoussa village. Cycladic architecture and traditional Greek decor are used throughout the hotel, including antique wooden furniture, nautical art work, and blue details creating a homey feel. There are plenty of spots to take some time out, including a hot tub deck, cozy indoor TV area with comfy sofas, shaded and sunny seating in the restaurant and bar, plus a balcony with lovely views of the Aegean Sea. The serene pool area is clean and ideal for tanning, lined with padded reclining sun loungers, umbrellas and pretty potted plants, though the chipped paintwork on the surrounding buildings are a bit of a let down. As this hotel has a romantic, quiet vibe, it may not be suitable for large groups and solo travelers. In fact, most guests are couples looking for a romantic getaway.

The shops, bars, and restaurants of this traditional fishing village can be reached on foot in 10 minutes, making it ideal for travelers looking for serenity as well as nightlife that's within striking distance. Although the hotel has a pool, the golden sands of Agioi Anargyroi Beach are just a five-minute walk away, and Santa Maria Beach -- which is popular with windsurfers -- is less than 10 minutes away by car. The historic Venetian Castle is a five-minute walk from the hotel, and the local Moraitis Winery can be reached in seven minutes on foot. Guests wishing to explore the island a little more should consider renting a car, as there's much to see and do. The buzzing town of Parikia is a 20-minute car ride away and a hotspot for nightlife and entertainment, while Paros' airport is a 30-minute drive. 

This two-story hotel is typically Cycladic in style, with whitewashed buildings, painted wooden shutters and potted plants, offering a traditional Greek feel. That classic style has been carried through into all 15 spacious rooms, which are impeccably clean. Expect to see a neutral color palette, traditional furniture, and striped bedding in each. Technology and amenities vary from modern to a bit dated, including flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, mini-fridges, safes, phones, and free robes and slippers. There are proper stereos in rooms, though they include dated CD players. Tiled bathrooms are small, but they come with modern amenities, such as hydro-massage showers, sinks, mirrors, toilets, and free toiletries. Perhaps this is why the old tube hairdryers are a little surprising. Rooms with kitchenettes are also available, as well as honeymoon suites for newlyweds. All rooms have a private balcony or terrace with seating, offering lovely sea or pool views. 

This small boutique hotel manages to pack in a lot of features, including a pool, two spa pools, and a restaurant and bar. It also offers some nice touches, like a welcome basket with local beverages and snacks on arrival, as well as a gift shop selling jewelry and souvenirs designed by local artists. Honeymooners are also well looked-after, with free Champagne or wine on arrival. The pool features padded reclining sun loungers and umbrellas, making it a go-to for tanning, while the adjoining spa pool and separate decked hot tub area are ideal spots to unwind. There's also a small hammam and a gym, though this is tiny with just a few pieces of basic equipment. The restaurant and bar with indoor and outdoor seating serves a free daily breakfast buffet with traditional Greek options, as well as snacks, drinks, and light refreshments, though the menu has no real dinner options, which may be an issue for some. The hotel also offers a mini-library, cozy TV spot, beach towels, babysitting, laundry, rental information, concierge, free on-site parking, and Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.
