Andaman Embrace Patong

The Andaman Embrace Resort & Spa is located in central Patong, surrounded by other hotels and restaurants, yet the property feels natural and non-urban. The resort's white buildings are arranged around well-maintained lawns laced with stone walkways, palm trees, and lotus ponds, along with thatched-roof cottages that provide a cozy counterpoint to the modern buildings. Inside, the lobby is airy and vast, with thick columns and arched doorways painted pale yellow with white trim. Furnishings throughout the resort are in stylish grays and browns, offset by artistic, modern lighting and, in the Twigs restaurant, wooden web-like room dividers. With its open design, the resort can offer garden views throughout the common areas, while the pool area faces the distant mountains. The resort's central location attracts families, as well as couples along with a few solo travelers. 

The resort is located on a busy street dotted with restaurants and shops, so guests will have no trouble finding off-site activities. Patong Beach is a few minutes' walk from the resort, while Jungceylon shopping center and Bangla Night Plaza are about 10 to 15 minutes away on foot. Central Phuket is about a half hour's drive, and Phuket International Airport is within a 45-minute drive. Chalong and Big Buddha temples are about 30 to 40 minutes away by car. 

Guest rooms, with their mostly white, cream, and pale-yellow color scheme -- from the bedding to the pale wood furnishings to the slick, tile floors -- feel airy and look clean. All rooms have flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, mini-fridges, safes, coffeemakers, air-conditioning, and pool or garden views; some rooms have balconies. Modern bathrooms have beige mosaic tiling, with either showers or shower/tub combos. Thatched-roof cottages, with private terraces around a lotus pond, sit separate from the main buildings. Suites have private terraces and spa tubs, and some overlook Patong Bay. Walls can be thin, and rooms with adjoining room doors can get especially noisy, which guests should keep in mind when booking. 

The resort offers a wonderful array of features for families and  romance-seeking couples. The Twigs restaurant serves a free breakfast with hot and cold dishes, as well as local and international cuisine for lunch and dinner. Sino Bar serves coffee, cocktails, and snacks from morning until night, and the swim-up pool bar and restaurant offers meals and cocktails throughout the day. There's a fitness center with floor-to-ceiling windows, weight and cardio equipment, and punching bags. A jogging track snakes around the garden, and there is also a tennis court. The kids' club offers indoor and outdoor activities, such as video games, and there's also a playground. The full-service spa provides beauty and body treatments, including traditional Thai massage, available in poolside treatment rooms. The resort also offers 24-hour room service, a business center and meeting rooms, and a mini-mart that stays open late. Wi-Fi and parking are free.
