A beautiful stone fountain leads to the Woodlands Hotel & Resort -- a long white building with a traditional brown tile roof and relaxed atmosphere. Wood pillars and neutral seating areas span the contemporary, open lobby, which features an outdoor terrace with a koi pond. All restaurants are refined and bright with some highlighting wood tones and chandeliers, while others have rooster details and colorful, oversized seating. Dozens of shrubs and trees, plus flowers, surround the property as part of the tropical garden. Guests here are mostly couples and families, though some business travelers stay as well.

The Woodlands Hotel & Resort is on a popular block in a hip neighborhood in northern Pattaya, surrounded by restaurants, nightlife, and shops. Central Center Pattaya, Tiffany’s Show, and Art in Paradise are within a 10-minute walk, while Central Festival and Pattaya Beach are five minutes away by car. Walking Street and the Sanctuary of Truth are less than a 15-minute drive from the hotel, but the closest airport, Utapao International Airport, is 45 minutes away. Suvarnabhumi International Airport is a one-hour-and-25-minute car ride away.

Simple, polished rooms reflect a nature theme in the earth tones and artwork as well as the wood bed frames. Coffeemakers and flat-screen TVs are in all air-conditioned rooms, as are minibars and free bottled water. Each has a furnished balcony, and some have lovely pool or garden views. Some rooms have direct pool access and spacious, comfortable living rooms. However, guests complain of mosquitoes in the rooms during the summer months. Black countertops shine against textured tan tile in the basic, stylish bathrooms. Walk-in tile showers have green glass doors, and Woodlands Hotel & Resort toiletries are provided. No tubs are available.

Families and couples frequent the two beautiful, free form outdoor pools -- both with stone animal fountains and plenty of greenery. The Garden Pool offers a kids' pool with a waterslide and the Tropical Pool has a shallow wading area. Cuisines at the five on-site restaurants range from Thai and Italian to Belgian and French, with some offering pastries and a la carte options while others have cocktails, beer, and wine. La Baguette French Bakery is known as one of the best bakeries in town, and there is a breakfast buffet with Thai and International dishes included with some packages. Room service is also available.

Herbal compresses and massages are offered at the small spa with two treatment rooms in addition to a fitness center with free weights, plus few cardio and weight machines. A large room with computers, books, and comfy seating comprises the business center. Wi-Fi and outdoor parking are free, but parking lot spaces are limited.
