The DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Phoenix is situated on a busy road near the airport. It has a neutral beige-and-brick facade made slightly more interesting by dimensional circular and triangular pieces that jut out of the building. Inside, the lobby is clean and well-kept with lots of natural light, but the decor is a bit dated and uninspiring, with neutral beige-and-cream-colored walls, tile floors, and furniture. Chairs and tables are grouped in small sitting areas near large front windows, though they sit on strange stone-patterned carpeting. Everything is coordinated though, and plants and modern art pieces add a little distinction to the area. The courtyard has a heated outdoor pool and plenty of lounge chairs, making it a nice spot for guests to gather and relax.

The DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Phoenix is about a four-minute drive from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, and down the road from the Metro Light Rail (a three-minute drive or eight-minute walk). The hotel offers a free shuttle for airport transfers, though pickups must be arranged in advance. There's also a free area shuttle to local sights. Downtown Phoenix, Downtown Scottsdale, and Tempe and Arizona State Universities are all about a 10- to 15-minute drive from the hotel. The DoubleTree shares the area with other hotels, shops, and restaurants, and on-site parking is free.
