Millennium Resort Patong Phuket

The Millennium Resort Patong Phuket is a large city hotel with a shopping center attached. Right outside the front door, guests are immediately immersed in Patong’s busy street culture and, in the evenings, an active nightlife scene, some of it seedy. The hotel is divided into two wings, Lakeside and Beachside, although there is no lake, and the beach is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The two pools, one several stories above the street with rooftop views, give the Millennium a resort-like feel, with nice sunbeds and beach umbrellas and poolside bars and restaurants. The addition of boisterous kids can disrupt guests’ relaxation. The clientele at the Millennium includes families, as well as business travelers, couples, and single travelers with partying on their minds. The Millennium’s decor is minimalist, with several water features, some large abstract sculptures, and river stone mosaics, but the busy lobby and common areas keep the hotel from feeling like an urban oasis, and make it more of a way station, a place to stop for a few days, but not a vacation destination.

The Millennium Resort Patong Phuket is located in the middle of Patong, steps from the entertainment and nightlife district of Bangla Road. Jungceylon Mall, with its 200 shops, one of Patong's major attractions, is attached to the hotel. Walk around back of the mall, and guests will find themselves in the famed night market. Patong Beach is a 10-minute walk from the lobby. Phuket Airport is 45 minutes away by car. 

Rooms at the Millennium Resort Patong Phuket are clean and modern, with simple modular furniture in light-wood tones, large picture windows, comfy sofas, huge beds, and furnished private balconies with pretty (if slightly rusted) wrought-iron railings that overlook the pool or the city’s main street with its all day and all night activity. Bathrooms are big and modern, with large walk-in showers. Cabana Rooms have whirlpool tubs and sexy swim-up decks with semi-private hot tub nooks that are part of the main pool. Amenities include flat-screen TVs with satellite channels and DVD players, in-room safes, and minibars.

The Millennium Resort Patong Phuket features two lovely modern swimming pools, one four floors above the street, with rooftop views. One pool has a pretty water wall and shallow area, and both are ringed with sunbeds and beach umbrellas. The Millennium has meeting and banquet facilities, with wedding services available. Straits Restaurant serves Traditional Thai cuisine from all four regions of the country, and a substantial breakfast buffet with Western and Asian selections. The Bistro serves Mediterranean and Thai food. Cafe 8 is a specialty coffee and pastry counter. There are several bars serving cool cocktails and bar snacks. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
