This chic, laid-back boutique hotel offers a fun atmosphere with weekly pool parties and DJ events. It’s a small, unassuming property with just 23 suites. The facade and entryway set the feel for the rest of the hotel, featuring an antique bicycle on the sidewalk and a wide rustic wood door flanked by two glass windows and a cast-iron bench and lantern. Lush vegetation crawls over everything, and the entryway leads to interiors with marble slab floors and rustic wood furniture, including the reception desk, wood-stump chairs, and bookshelves. Antique knickknacks are stashed everywhere, such as faded books, vintage televisions, musical instruments, and photographs. Some signs of age are visible in the coloring of the walls and floors in the hallways. 

The rooftop offers views over the city and beach. Wooden patios set up around the rooftop surround the snack bar and pool, with some beds and chairs mixed in with painted wood tables. It's a stylish space to relax in and soak up some sun, and transforms into a fun, lively atmosphere during weekly pool parties. The adult-only property attracts mainly young couples, and the party atmosphere and occasional noise due to live music or DJ sets might not suit all.

The hotel is in the heart of Playa del Carmen’s famous Fifth Avenue tourist strip that runs parallel to the beach, with plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars, clubs, and shopping in the area. The beach is about a five-minute walk from the property. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the downtown ADO bus station, with options to travel throughout the Yucatan and the rest of Mexico. Cancun is about an hour's drive north of here, while Cancun International Airport can be reached in 45 minutes.

The hotel offers 23 suites, which are divided into three categories: Standard Suites, Junior Suites, and Master Suites. While the public areas of the hotel mostly feature rustic woodwork, antiques, and old-fashioned charm, the rooms are a bit more modern in style. Expect to see hardwood floors, flowery pillows, painted walls adorned with quotations, marble platforms for seating, and plenty of wall lighting. 

Standard amenities include air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, minibars, iPod docks, free bottled water, electronic safes, and free Wi-Fi. All rooms also have small balconies. Bathrooms are sleek and modern, done up in chic gray marble, and are equipped with rainfall showers, plus some of the suites have large in-room whirlpool tubs set inside of marble-and-river-rock platforms. 

The on-site Sushi Club Restaurant serves three meals a day, with breakfast included in room rates. There’s a heavy focus on healthy options, with plenty of gluten-free and vegetarian choices on the menu. 

The rooftop pool area offers a chic and stylish space to lounge in, and includes a snack bar that is open during daytime hours. The hotel hosts weekly pool parties, as well as live music events with local DJs once a month.
