Outlet shoppers, gamblers, hikers, and NASCAR fans will appreciate both the locations and the rates of these great-value hotels in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains region.
The upper-middle-range Village at Pocono is a private resort whose white-columned buildings and walkways lined with white fences give the impression of a gated community. The location can't be beat for fans visiting the nearby Pocono Raceway, which also owns the hotel. Rooms here are modern and exceptionally clean, encouraged by a steep security deposit for young adult guests. The hotel features tennis courts, a playground, an indoor clubhouse lounge, and a pool. The property is an ideal base for skiing and NASCAR fans, but there's almost nowhere to eat in the vicinity.
Baymont Inn & Suites Bartonsville Poconos is one of the area's nicest budget options. Sitting just off of I-80 in the Poconos, it's a good choice for those doing outlet shopping in nearby Tannersville or those seeking other outdoor fun in the Poconos. The 115 spacious and contemporary rooms have mini-fridges, free Wi-Fi, and flat-screen TVs, and some suites have jetted tubs or sofa beds. Extra perks include a hot-and-cold breakfast, indoor pool, hot tub, grill restaurant, and bar with weekend dancing.
Conveniently located off of I-80, this Budget Inn & Suites is a cozy option that lives up to its name. The 112 rooms have a simple and homey style, with some dated decor, plus flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. Suites with jetted tubs are also available. The on-site restaurant is convenient for guests to get a quick bite without having to leave the hotel, and the hotel serves a free breakfast buffet. There's also a simple fitness room.
This two-pearl Comfort Inn & Suite is in the middle of the Poconos and drives to most area attractions, like the Camelback ski area, are relatively easy. In spite of their simplicity, the 65 rooms are spacious and comfortable, and some are equipped with bunk beds for kids and others with private indoor hot tubs. We did spot some wear and tear, as well as dated furniture and old tube TVs in some rooms. Features include an indoor pool, fitness room, and game room, and the hot breakfast buffet is free.
