Hotel Pav

A standard mid-range chain hotel in a European city, the Best Western Hotel Pav is housed in a gray building on a quiet side street. The lobby is small, but bright and cheery, with a stone accent wall and planter boxes in the windows. In the stairwell, flowers sit in wall cutouts, and potted plants are placed throughout the hotel. Breakfast is served in a long banquet room where images of flowers pop up on place mats, wall pictures, and even on the cubic ceiling lights. The bar is a bright and colorful space, with arched brick ceilings, decorative green walls, orange chairs, and colorful abstract paintings.

The hotel is conveniently located on a quiet street in central Prague, a 10-minute walk from the Charles Bridge. The Old Town Square with its famous astronomical clock is just a 15-minute walk north. The closest tram stop is just a few minutes away, and Prague Castle is less than a 20-minute ride on public transportation. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel; U Fleků, a historic brewery that serves local dishes and beer, is located next to the hotel. The airport is within a 25-minute drive, and the hotel will arrange airport transfers and any other car transportation for a fee. Parking is available for a fee.

Rooms at the Best Western Hotel Pav are clean and pleasant, decorated in understated, natural hues with a Scandinavian flavor, such as taupe accent walls and long gray curtains. Furnishings include matching desks, headboards, and bureaus in light, laminate wood. All rooms have a flat-screen TVs and free (slow) Wi-Fi. Beige bathrooms are furnished with towel warmers and small, walk-in showers or shower/tub combinations. Coffee/tea facilities are available on request, and chocolates on the pillow are a nice touch. The Superior Room on the top floor has air-conditioning and sloped ceilings. 

The hotel serves a free breakfast buffet daily, which has a wide variety of foods, including cheese, meats, hardboiled eggs, and breads. There’s a charming bar where guests can order coffee and cocktails, and a cooler holds sodas and beer for guests to purchase. There’s an Internet corner with one computer, and the hotel is pet friendly (charges apply). Parking and laundry services are available for a fee, and the hotel offers concierge services.
