This quiet and quaint boutique hotel that’s housed in three 16th-century buildings embraces its historic surroundings. Many original architectural features remain, such as huge wooden beams running across the low ceilings. The thick plaster walls are painted white, which contrast nicely with the dark wood furniture throughout the small lobby and adjacent restaurant/bar area. Grandfather and wall-mounted clocks are among the impressive antiques, and a beautiful painting of the nearby Prague Castle hangs above the wooden front desk. Other traditional artwork graces the walls, and a lovely brass chandelier hangs from the wood-beam ceiling. The hotel primarily attracts leisure tourists, though business travelers are common visitors as well. While this hotel may have a traditional feel, it’s relaxed, friendly, and decidedly not stuffy. 

The Boutique Hotel Constans consists of three 16th-century buildings on a quiet, cobblestone street near Prague Castle (a seven-minute walk away). It’s surrounded by cafes, restaurants, residential buildings, and other hotels that are within a one- to three-minute walk. It’s only a two-minute walk to the Šporkova public transit station, U.S. Embassy, and KGB Museum. The Charles Bridge is under a 10-minute walk from here. Old Town Square, the National Museum, and the Prague State Opera are about 20 minutes by public transit. Vaclav Havel Airport can be reached in about 20 to 30 minutes by car, or 40 minutes via public transit. The hotel offers a shuttle service (for a fee) to the airport and other attractions throughout the city. 

Beautiful parquet wood floors make a nice first impression on entering Boutique Hotel Constans' these traditional and tastefully decorated rooms. Attractive solid wood furniture includes headboards, nightstands, desks, dressers, and armoires. Walls are painted off white, and exposed-wood beams run along the ceilings of some rooms. White bedspreads feature delicate, light blue-colored leaf patterns and match the drapes, while framed black-and-white photos of Prague landmarks decorate some walls. 

The ceilings and walls in some rooms can jut out at sharp angles, thanks to quirks from the hotel's 16th-century buildings, and they can vary in size and layout -- but they're all fairly spacious. Guest rooms are clean and quiet, and come in various double, single, or twin bed combinations. Bathrooms are equally spacious, with beige tile walls and floors, large white ceramic vanities, and shower/tub combos with clear glass half-doors. Heated towel racks and both bidets and toilets are included. Junior Suites have separate tubs and small shower inserts. Standard amenities include coffeemakers, minibars, flat-screen TVs, safes, magnifying mirrors, and free Wi-Fi, though some guests report it to be spotty. Deluxe Rooms and Junior Suites add robes, slippers, espresso machines, sleeper sofas, and small wet bars. Some rooms have balconies and views of Prague Castle. 

The Boutique Hotel Constans has a fair amount of features, but many have their limitations. The hotel offers a free hot breakfast buffet that's extensive. It's served in the quaint restaurant that includes a garden area with a glass ceiling. The restaurant also serves lunch during the week, but not dinner, plus there's a bar that's open daily. Concierge and valet dry cleaning and laundry services are available, as are on-site self-serve laundry facilities. Various other services can be arranged, including babysitting and in-room massage treatments. The hotel also operates a shuttle (for a fee) to the airport and various attractions in the city. The front desk is staffed 24/7 and offers currency exchange. A meeting room is available that can host events for up to 40 people, and the restaurant’s garden area is used for events for up to 28 people. The business center consists of one computer station with Internet access. Free Wi-Fi is offered, but many guests have reported it to be spotty in certain areas of the hotel. A small garage for guest cars is available for a fee. Pets are welcome in this nonsmoking hotel.
