Bottom Line

The eight-room Domus Henrici Boutique Hotel is a mid-range, cozy property located within a few minutes walk of the Prague Castle (a metro ride connects guests to other major attractions). Rooms are covered in white, with pretty hardwood floors, and have great extras like wine, surround sound, and chocolates; however, bathrooms lack counter space. Some rooms have wonderful views of Petrin Hill; these views can also be seen from the lovely outdoor terraces. Free breakfast and free Wi-Fi are offered, and snacks and drinks are available throughout the day. This hotel is pet-friendly, with airport and area transportation for a fee, and concierge services. Parking is off-site and also incurs a fee.

Domus Henrici Boutique Hotel

Scene

Historic, cozy, and intimate boutique with lots of green plants

The Domus Henrici Boutique Hotel has lovely medieval bones seen in the structured arches and layout of the building. The quiet atmosphere is courtesy of the peaceful surrounding neighborhood, and the views are fantastic. From the two terraces, you can see Petrin Hill (there are a lot of plants but no seating on the terraces). The lobby consists of a hallway with blue and tan soft chairs and a personal office space serving as the front desk. Historic vaulted ceilings and a period cream-colored tiled stove decorate the breakfast room and beautiful hardwood floors run throughout. Spindle wood chairs are modern with white padding while some artwork breaks up the white walls. Plants also cover this space and help to make it feel more homey than bare. Common spaces are few, but intimate, and there is a welcoming air about the hotel.

Location

In Hradčany on a quiet, historical street

The Domus Henrici Boutique Hotel is located on the top of a steep hill on a quiet, cobbled street. The Prague Castle is within a five-minute walk and the surrounding area is filled with charming, historic buildings. Public transportation is also within walking distance, but destinations such as Old Town, Wenceslas Square, and the Astronomical Clock are about a 10-minute drive or 20-minute metro ride away.

Rooms

Contemporary, bright rooms with antique touches and great extras

There is a lived-in feel to all the rooms at this hotel, even if they are a bit on the minimal side. Rooms are a good size with lovely hardwood floors, arches, a flowery scent, and white walls with a little bit of artwork. Antique windows let in natural light and floors have pretty Persian rugs. Because few rooms share walls, all rooms are quiet, and the free Wi-Fi runs quickly because each room has its own router. Live plants and higher ceilings also define the space, and some rooms have beautiful views of Petrin Hill. Fully stocked minibars, electric kettles, and extras like wine, DVD players with surround sound, and chocolates on the pillows can be found in all rooms. Bathrooms are also on the stark side as they are completely covered in white tile with glassed-in showers or large soaking tubs. White sinks are attached to the walls with glass shelves above, but there is still little counter space. Bathrobes are available in all.
