Geared towards younger clientele, the fusion hotel prague is unique and fun with interesting, upbeat music playing throughout. The atmosphere is relaxed with a late night party-going feel. The eclectic and trendy style works for a variety of guests, from upscale backpackers to families with children. Gray or black painted walls have intriguing drawings while the front desk is forged from old drawers. Bold colors in the furniture stand out against neutral backgrounds, especially in the hostel-style playroom, and restaurants feature an industrial, contemporary look with stools and lots of clean lines. Pallets are used to hang artwork, while much of the seating is a mix of metal and wood. Lots of old yet vibrant doors decorate a storage area in Epopey Restaurant and there are hanging light bulbs to complete the modern vibe. The 360° Lounge Bar features Europe’s first rotating bar and has a gorgeous circular Art Deco glass roof designed by Czech architect Josef Gočar. The overall atmosphere is lively and energetic.

The fusion hotel prague is located at the corner of a small side street and busy main road. It sits within Nove Mesto (New Town) where boutique shops and grocery stores line the streets. Almost every major sight is within walking distance including Wenceslas Square, the Prague State Opera, Old Town, and the Astronomical Clock. Public transportation is also under a five-minute walk from the hotel and a rental car is only necessary if you plan to leave the city center.

Small details are what make the rooms at this hotel complete and one-of-a-kind. Spigot faucets serve as hooks, pipes and light wood come together to create desks, green or pink mini-ladders turn into bedside tables, and small mousetraps are home to the “please do not disturb” signs. There are several different room options available including small rooms for single travelers, family rooms with kid’s toys and kettles, and luxe theme rooms with kitchenettes and coffeemakers. Each room has its own well-organized design and mounted flat-screen TVs. There are no safes or air-conditioning in the rooms, but the windows open to provide a breeze. Modern sliding doors lead into the bathrooms, which have industrial lights and vivid paint colors. White sinks are attached to the walls, but there isn’t much counter space in bathrooms, and there are only white-tiled showers. Rainfall showerheads adorn all bathrooms; however, the clear plastic curtain is a bit flimsy. Amenities include shampoo/body gel dispensers in the showers and updated hair dryers.

Unlike other hotels in the area, the fusion hotel prague molds its amenities to a youthful crowd with hip restaurants/bars, a playroom, and a pet-friendly policy. Epopey Restaurant serves as both an eatery and an art gallery, featuring rotating paintings and classic Czech dishes with a modern spin. This restaurant is also home to the free breakfast, which receives great reviews. Soup in the City showcases snacks, sandwiches, and of course, soups, and is a favorite of locals and tourists. Dishes and coffee are also a great value for the area. 360° Lounge Bar feels like a party spot, with cocktails and DJs or live music every weekend, and there is the Shisha Lounge with a seasonal terrace. The playroom includes a Skype booth for free video calls and an Xbox station, while there are Apple computers in the business area. There is only minimal street parking available at this hotel, but Vinci Park parking garage is about a five-minute walk from the hotel; there is a daily fee, though. Wi-Fi is free.
