Dominican Hotel

Chandeliers and Victorian-inspired furniture complement wooden floors and ceilings with exposed wood beams at the Savic Hotel. A smoking lounge with fabric-covered chairs and wooden tables provides an indoor spot for smokers. The on-site Czech restaurant, U Dominikana, named after a former Dominican monastery, is housed in a glass room that looks much like a greenhouse, with plants, trees, and vines growing inside and out. Beautiful furnishings decorate the space including fabric-covered chairs and shimmery lights. There's additional restaurant seating outside under a tent on the cobbled street that runs in front of the hotel. Most guests here are tourists, largely because of the proximity to popular Old Town sites, and while the property is suitable for families, its romantic ambience and boutique atmosphere makes it better for couples. 

The hotel is located in an area with plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafes. It’s only a five-minute walk to the Old Town Square with its famous Astronomical Clock and a nine-minute walk to the Powder Tower. Prague Castle can be reached in less than a 20-minute walk or 10-minute ride on public transportation. The airport is around a 30-minute drive away. Note that there isn't any parking on-site.

Rooms at the Savic Hotel have classic furnishings including heavy wooden two beds and matching bureaus. Chandeliers and pretty bedding with pretty pale yellow decorative cushions add an elegant touch. Some rooms have beautiful wooden ceilings featuring paintings of nature designs. All rooms are stocked with kettles, minibars, wall-mounted flat-screen TVs, iPod docks, and free Wi-Fi. Elegant bathrooms have marble walls and floors, and some come with generous amenity kits including combs, nail files, and bath salts. Suites provide more living space with setee couches, a dining table, and overhead chandelier. 

There’s a beautiful restaurant on-site serving traditional Czech dishes with indoor and outdoor seating, and a lounge that offers an indoor spot for guests to smoke. A free hot breakfast buffet is served at the hotel and includes many choices, including eggs cooked to order. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. The hotel has an Internet corner with one computer, and airport transfers can be arranged for a fee.
