Bottom Line

Right by a beautiful sandy beach, this four-room bed and breakfast is run by friendly owners who provide a welcoming atmosphere (and speak good English). The rooms are simple, but clean, and a plentiful breakfast is provided each morning with pastries and fruit. The water is not drinkable, but bottled water is provided. It’s a bit isolated, situated in the countryside, but is in an ideal spot for a low-key beach vacation.

Behind a gate, guests are greeted by an old-fashioned country residence with a corrugated metal overhang. Inside, the atmosphere is simple and basic. There’s some colorful paper cutouts and basic paintings lining the walls and some retro-looking furniture in the simple kitchen area. Outside is a covered patio for relaxing and enjoying the surrounding garden and countryside, which is dotted with palm trees.

The bed and breakfast is a two-minute walk to a small and fairly private beach. It’s in the countryside of Punta Prosciutto, with mostly other bed and breakfasts, private homes, and a bar nearby. Porto Cesareo is about a 20-minute drive while some of the main tourist towns in the region, such as Lecce and Gallipoli, are about 45 to 50 minutes away. A car is recommended and parking is free.
