This family-friendly hotel offers a fun, inviting experience for adults and kids alike. Guest rooms and facilities are spread throughout the property in different buildings, creating a village feel, though the pale pink concrete buildings are a bit dated and lack a Mediterranean quality that many nearby hotels possess. The hotel common areas are open and sizable, so much so that some spaces, like the front lobby, actually look somewhat sparse. Large modern paintings cover the walls and the decor is mostly in muted warm tones. Paving stones cover the ground and walkways throughout the property, and are accompanied by manicured hedges and small palm trees. Most people spend their time relaxing in one of the various pools. The many sporting facilities and the constant performances and activities contribute to the lively energy that permeates Hotel Thalas Club.

The hotel is located in the small beachside town of Torre Dell'Orso on a quiet street with residences and other hotel complexes, and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. It’s around a 10-minute walk to the gorgeous turquoise water of Torre Dell'Orso Beach and to the equally beautiful Baia d'Oriente; for those who'd rather not walk, free shuttle service is available. Torre Dell'Orso itself is easily accessible, just an hour from Brindisi Airport, and near many attractions such as the city of Lecce, just 30 minutes northwest. Rooms are situated in different buildings dotting the property, with all units featuring air-conditioning, safes, and mini-fridges as well as a private balcony or patio. Most rooms are clean and slightly on the smaller side, with decor that’s simple and accented by light wood furniture. The bathrooms are narrow but clean. Some of the rooms are more contemporary and spacious, with bold red walls and cabinets and giant pictures of Italian architecture hanging from the walls.

Hotel Thalas Club offers many amenities. This family-friendly village provides endless activities for children, including a kids’ club with a huge playground and a playhouse that actually looks like a castle. Kids can also enjoy the separate children's swimming pool as well as the stadium-style amphitheater where the entertainment crew puts on various performances.

Adults can enjoy the two larger swimming pools. One is a big pool next to the children's pool. The other is in a more secluded area, surrounded by lounge chairs and tiki umbrellas. All pools have lifeguards and guests must wear swimming caps, which can be purchased at the hotel. The Thalas Club also has many sports facilities, such as a soccer field, tennis court, and fitness center, with classes offered as well.

Guests can unwind and melt their cares away at the spa, which has various treatment rooms, an indoor whirlpool, and steam room. A free breakfast buffet is offered every morning and the restaurant Amùra serves lunch and dinner with indoor and outdoor seating. A large bar serves drinks and snacks and has indoor and outdoor seating as well. The property isn't located directly on a beach, but it is just a five-minute drive away, and guests can take a free shuttle. The hotel also organizes excursions to nearby towns for a fee.
