Bottom Line

The 113-room, three-pearl Le Sommet des Neiges is a lovely all-suite complex in the Mont-Tremblant Pedestrian Village, within walking distance to all the mountainside ski village has to offer. Suites feature fully equipped kitchens, washers/dryers, and other home conveniences. While spacious enough and tastefully decorated and furnished, the suites aren’t luxurious or large. Le Sommet des Neiges is a solid, family-friendly choice in any season, but there's no on-site restaurant, and the pool is small for a resort. While priced competitively, there are other village resorts for travelers to consider, like the Homewood Suites Mont-Tremblant, which has similar features.

Sommet des Neiges

Scene

A scenic and stately condo resort with an expansive lobby

The stately stone entrance of this scenic mountainside resort has been built to impress. The lobby exudes understated elegance, with a dark cherry wood-colored front desk, ceiling beams, wall panels, and furniture. Beige tile at the entrance gives way to a richly colored red, gold, and silver patterned carpet. Clusters of upholstered chairs and couches of similar color patterns sit atop Asian-style rugs throughout the expansive lobby, including a cluster near a circular stone gas fire pit. Nearby is an elegant library with comfortable couches, wooden bookcases, and a gas fireplace. A flat-screen TV is mounted above the wood mantel for game-time viewing. The various cozy nooks throughout the lobby invite guests to relax. A children’s playroom just off the lobby conveys this is a family-friendly resort. An outdoor patio with seating and gas grills buzzes with activity at mealtimes. It overlooks the lovely, bustling resort village.

Rooms

Ample space and nicely decorated but not luxurious

The 113 condo-style rooms come with all the comforts of home in one-, two-, and three-bedroom configurations. All are spacious but not overly large. Every option has the same smallish kitchen with blue-tile flooring, granite sink tops, full refrigerators, and ovens/stoves, dishwashers, and an array of cooking pots and utensils. Stacked washers/dryers are tucked into adjacent spaces. All condos have the same basic decor -- dark-brown-and-beige patterned carpets and drapes, cherry-colored wood furniture and doors, and tan walls. The rich-looking but rather dark decor is brightened by lots of natural light from the windows. All rooms have French doors that lead to small balconies with seating and views of the mountain or village, though some guests report disappointment over partially blocked views. Bathrooms are richly decorated with dark granite and cherrywood vanities, and framed wall mirrors, patterned tile floors, and tan-patterned wallpaper. Some have separate tubs and glass-enclosed showers. Others have simple shower/tub combos with curtains. Two- and three-bedroom condos have two full bathrooms. All bedrooms have armoires, chairs in the corner, and nightstands on either side of the king or queen beds. Some have two queen beds. One-bedroom units have combined living and dining areas with small round dining tables and chairs, as well as couches and chairs facing gas fireplaces and entertainment centers with flat-screens. Two bedrooms have a separate living and dining area, with the living area a bit larger. Three bedrooms have a larger rectangular dining table with more chairs. All rooms come with free Wi-Fi, limited to two devices per unit (restrictions on bandwidth may apply).
