The hotel’s close proximity to Rhodes and to the shores of the beach appeal to couples and families on honeymoon or holiday. The hotel stands apart as one of the largest in the area, with an imposing exterior consisting of archways, palm trees, and a large pathway leading to the glass entrance. Hallways are simple and elegant with marble flooring that continues through the lobby -- a naturally lit space with a wood front desk, circular white pillars, and ceiling designs. The elevator bank has a stylish marble staircase and medieval-inspired pottery decorations. Guests gather at three bars: the main bar -- with elegant leather club chairs, square skylights, and a grand piano -- the poolside bar, and an all-inclusive bar.

Akti Miaouli -- a coastal road running along the westside of Rhodes -- separates the hotel from the beach. The hotel is centrally located; it's seven minutes by car to Rhodes, the medieval town that dates back to 408 BC and is home to the Grand Master of Knights Palace, the Archaeological Museum, and the Ancient Olympic Stadium. A car trip to Rhodes International Airport takes 23 minutes. The Rhodes Aquarium is about a six-minute drive away, and Rodos Casino is just a five-minutes' walk. Boat trips depart from Mandraki Harbor, which is 12 minutes by foot. There’s also a bus stop across the street.

The interior decor in rooms is somewhat outdated, with heavy window coverings, busy patterns, and neutral-colored furnishings. Rooms include slippers, mini-fridges, safes, flat-screen TVs, and balconies with panoramic sea views. Windows are double-glazed and block out ambient noise. Bathrooms are filled with tribal decorations and shower/tub combos. There are six VIP Suites with bedrooms and dining areas. The Presidential Suite has two levels with a second bedroom, living room, dining table, kitchenette, fireplace, and private pool. Some furniture and features, though, are in minor disrepair.

The indoor pool is bright thanks to the large skylight ceiling. The bright blue deck pops against the white cushioned lounge chairs and the neutral-colored Greek mural on the walls. Outside, there’s a pool by the lobby with semi-submerged columns, a deck with blue umbrellas and lounge chairs, and archways that lead into the hotel. A smaller circular pool offers more lounging on a pool deck, where there are yellow umbrellas and blue lounge chairs, and a green lawn with more seating. The hotel also offers international on-site dining choices that include the Acandia restaurant with buffet, the Castellania winter restaurant, an Italian restaurant, a Chinese restaurant with dangling red lanterns, a Greek restaurant, a Mexican poolside restaurant, a pita grill restaurant, a creperie, a small outdoor brick-oven pizzeria, and a snack bar.
