Bottom Line

This modern, mid-range hotel is on the Riccione waterfront in Rimini, a resort area and historic city on the northeast coast of Italy. Sophisticated and stylish, the hotel has an airy, beachfront atmosphere and a nice restaurant with sea views. The 51 guest rooms are cozy and small, but cheerful, with lovely balconies overlooking the sea -- Top Rooms have a more upscale style and nice extras. The hotel does not have a pool or spa. It may be worth comparing rates with the nearby Hotel Feldberg, which is not directly on the beach, but has a pool and fitness center.

Hotel Tiffany’s

Scene

Elegant, with waterfront restaurant

The hotel, perched right by the beach, has a relaxed atmosphere and elegant decor -- cream-colored marble floors, glass tables, and luxe Persian rugs welcome visitors into the lobby. The lobby and restaurant also have gold touches and bright blue accents, bringing out the natural scenery visible from many windows. Guests -- mainly couples and business travelers, some with kids in tow -- relax at the refined outdoor patio looking out at the sea from the entrance area. There's also a chic lobby bar, where clusters of yellow leather chairs complement pale parquet floors, palm plants and cacti, and sheer curtains.

Location

In resort area right by the beach, near the convention center

The hotel has a scenic location in resort-centric Rimini on the sea promenade of Riccione, with beaches just in front of the property. Restaurants and shops dot the immediate area and center of Rimini -- about a 10-minute drive -- and the city's Roman and renaissance-era architecture, such as pretty Piazza Tre Martiri in the historic center, are very accessible. It’s also a good spot for business travelers -- a 20-minute drive from the Palariccione conference center -- and close to public transportation -- less than five miles from Rimini Airport, and one mile from the railway station.
