Bottom Line

Hotel Condotti's highlight is its location -- on a quaint cobblestone street lined by restaurants, within walking distance of attractions such as the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, and the Pantheon. It lacks a fitness center and a spa, though that's pretty typical for hotels in this city. All in all, Hotel Condotti is a great value, offering lower prices than other hotels in the area and featuring clean -- if a bit tired -- rooms. The elegant, cozy lobby is a nice place to congregate before heading out for the day.

Condotti Hotel

Location

Within walking distance of numerous attractions in central Rome

Though not located along the fashionable Via Condotti as the name implies (but it is just a short walk), Hotel Condotti does have a great location in central Rome, about equidistant from the lively Piazza del Popolo and the Spanish Steps.

The neighborhood around Piazza Popolo and the Spanish Steps is one the most upscale in Rome, with high-end shops, restaurants, and hotels, and of course, plenty of sightseeing opportunities. Piazza Popolo is one the of city's largest squares and is a popular spot for strolling, and sipping coffee at the local cafes, but the scene can become even more lively at night when the numerous bars open their doors.

One of the most iconic places in Rome, the Spanish Steps (all 135 of them) are a popular meeting spot for tourists and Romans (you can tell them apart by what they're doing -- tourists will likely be snapping a billion photographs; Romans will likely be making out). Built in the early 18th century to demonstrate the union between France and Spain (French funds paid for their construction), the Spanish Steps are the starting point of several fashionable streets, such as Via Condotti, lined by luxurious shops and gourmet restaurants.

  • 32-minute drive to Rome Ciampino International Airport
  • 50-minute drive to Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport
  • 2-minute walk to Via Condotti
  • 5-minute walk to the Spanish steps
  • 7-minute walk to Piazza Popolo
  • 10-minute walk to the Santa Maria del Popolo church
  • 10-minute walk to the Trevi Fountain
  • 10-minute walk to the Villa Borghese gardens
  • 10-minute walk to the Spagna metro stop
  • 12-minute walk to the Barberini Fontana di Trevi metro stop
  • 12-minute walk to the Pantheon
  • 13-minute walk to Palazzo Barnerini
  • 26-minute walk, or 7-minute drive, to the Vatican City (not easily accessible by the metro)
  • 30-minute walk, or 10-minute drive, to the Colosseum (not easily accessible by the metro)
