Bottom Line

The 78-room Hotel San Remo is a mid-range property in a historic building on a pretty, narrow street with many sights within a 15-minute walking radius. Basic rooms have just the essentials, including minibars, flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, and safes. Bathrooms are on the small side with shower/tub combos, but some have a bit of rust on the sinks. Breakfast is included and receives decent reviews, and there's a spacious lobby bar with a selection of drinks. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. The decor though, is a bit dated with cracks and chipped paint on the walls and worn, traditional furniture in the common areas.

Hotel San Remo

Scene

A traditional, mid-range hotel in a historic building with some dated decor

Housed in a building from the 1800s, the Hotel San Remo has a friendly atmosphere throughout. Green floral couches, potted plants, and a traditional, somewhat dated, style decorate a small seating area in the lobby, with classic art on the walls. A wood front desk and large tray ceiling adds to the traditional feel in the entrance. In the breakfast room, gray tile runs throughout with pink cushions on black chairs adding color. Arched doorways, white tablecloths, and pinkish walls feel classic as well. Wood armchairs with red cushions, small wood tables, and gray tile floors adorn the lobby bar, which has a bar area and a flat-screen TV on a wood table. However, most of the hotel feels a bit old with cracks in the walls, dated decor, and chipped paint, though it offers good value for its location.
