Bottom Line

The Parco Dei Principi Grand Hotel & Spa is located in the Parioli district near the beautiful Villa Borghese park (but far from most tourist sights). The grand, opulent lobby has plush seating, chandeliers, and lovely artwork. Rooms are traditional in style with crisp white bedding and updated amenities. Marble bathrooms are finished with crown molding and jetted shower/tub combos. Many rooms also include a private terrace with great views of the Villa Borghese park. Hotel features include an outdoor courtyard garden with big heated pool and the Prince Spa, complete with indoor pool and steam room. There are many restaurants and cafes within a 10-minute walk, but the on-site restaurant and Bar La Pomme are also convenient dining and drink choices.

Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel & SPA

Location

Close to Villa Borghese park and Bioparco (zoo) in the Parioli district

Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel & Spa is located in the quiet and residential Parioli district, outside the city center. It is very near the beautiful Villa Borghese park and Bioparco (zoo).

Parioli is one of Rome's wealthiest residential neighborhoods, located to the north of the bustling, tourist-crowded city center. It's an area that trades in packed tour buses and ancient ruins for small groups of well-heeled visitors to Rome and elegant residences. Sure, there's the drawback of being farther from Rome's monuments, but it also puts you closer to some of Rome's best dining and nightlife. Many people consider staying here during their second or third visits to Rome, after they've gotten the Colosseum tours out of their systems. Just be prepared to take plenty of taxis or stay in the area: Rome's public transportation system is notoriously inadequate.

  • 30-minute drive from Ciampino Airport
  • 56-minute drive from Fiumicino Airport
  • 3-minute walk to Bioparco tram station
  • 5-minute walk to Rossini tram station
  • 7-minute walk to Galleria Borghese
  • 10-minute walk to shops and restaurants
  • 11-minute walk to Villa Borghese
  • 11-minute walk to Bioparco (zoo)
  • 6-minute drive to Keats-Shelley Memorial House
  • 6-minute drive to Piazza di Spagna
  • 6-minute drive to the Trevi Fountain
  • 11-minute drive to the Colosseum
  • 11-minute drive to Parco di Villa Glori
  • 11-minute drive to Museo dell'Ara Pacis
  • 11-drive to Cavea Auditorium
  • 12-minute drive to the National Gallery of Modern Art
  • 13-minute drive to Vatican City
  • 13-minute drive to Castle Sant'Angelo
