Bottom Line

This 392-room resort is a Marriott for certain, but it's on the higher end for the chain (certain aspects are on par with the Four Seasons Resort, and it's nicer than the Nisbet in Nevis). This is thanks mostly to grounds' very updated look: paint and masonry look fresh, and the spacious rooms have flat-screen TVs and plenty of natural light (though decor is generic). There are plenty of pools, which helps to thin out the hotel's boozy, sun-worshipping crowds.

Oyster Hotel Review

St. Kitts Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino

Location

Located near Frigate Bay on St. Kitts's windward east coast

The St. Kitts Marriott is located on the windward east coast of the island, near Frigate Bay. It's a hot spot for dining and nightlife, and is also host to plenty of outdoor activities such as snorkeling and kayaking.

Tourism is a relatively new industry on St. Kitts. More easily accessible than its sister island, Nevis, it's still much less developed than other Caribbean spots like St. Martin. "Developed" is still a relative term, though, and many areas of the island still feel secluded. There is lush rainforest for hiking, especially up Mount Liamuiga, which is a dormant volcano and the highest peak in the islands. There are also dozens of fantastic snorkeling and diving spots around the island, including multiple wrecks.
