The hotel's facade is grand, with a wall of windows that capitalize upon the location's ocean views. While the building was constructed in the early 1900s, the hotel lobby is modern, with an austere airport transit lounge vibe including a cluster of generic leather armchairs, a shelf of tourist pamphlets, beige tiles, and white walls. The hotel's on-site breakfast room has more style and is tastefully designed with Art Nouveau-inspired upholstered chairs, decorative ceiling cornices, large windows, and striking overhead light fixtures reminiscent of parasol ribbing -- its old school seaside resort with a modern twist. Hotel guests, who include both tourists and business travelers, can also dine on the outdoor terrace with ocean views if weather permits. There's an on-site bar, well-equipped fitness facility, and sauna available for guest use, as well as a billiards table and lounge area. Business guests can also take advantage of the hotel's on-site conference facilities. 

While the hotel is in a prime spot for the beach and the beachfront promenade's shops and restaurants, other destinations are a bit far, though guests who don't mind 15- to 20-minute walks will be fine. Others will want a car. The Gare SNCF railway station takes 17 minutes to reach on foot, or five minutes by road, while Fort National, a 17th-century fortress that's only accessible at low tide, is around the same distance away. For shopping, Halle au Ble market is an eight-minute drive from the hotel and sells freshly baked goods and local produce. It's located within Saint-Malo's historic old town, the perimeter of which takes 17 minutes to reach on foot. Guests with a sweet tooth are an eight-minute drive from Maison Larnicol, which sells an array of Breton chocolates and caramels. Dinard-Pleurtuit-Saint-Malo Airport is a 21-minute drive from the hotel, and Condor Ferries Terminal, which is a popular departure point for U.K. guests, is an 11-minute drive from the hotel. The Jacques Cartier Manor House and Museum, once home to the explorer who discovered Canada, is an 11-minute drive from the hotel. 

The hotel has 56 guest rooms available, 27 of which feature unobstructed sea views. There are multiple room configurations which include Double Standard, Double Sea View, Family Rooms, and Apartments, and some rooms have small balconies with chairs. Room decor features furnishings and subtle nautical flare that's reminiscent of a houseboat interior, with wooden floorboards throughout plus blue-and-white bed linens that match window curtains and chair covers in most rooms. Furniture -- which is limited to a desk and chair in many rooms -- is of the simple oak variety, and some rooms have wind-sail sconces over the beds. Bathrooms are clean and modern, with stand-up showers, circular mirrors, and ample vanity space -- the abundance of wood throughout the bathrooms makes them seem lifted straight from a sailboat. Guests can also upgrade to a self-contained Apartment Standard room complete with multiple guest beds, a whirlpool bath, and high-tech jetted shower. All rooms include free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, stocked minibars, guest slippers, coffee- and tea-making facilities, and hair-dryers. There is no air-conditioning in guest rooms. 

The hotel's breakfast room features an outdoor terrace and sea views, and serves up a continental breakfast daily for a fee. There is also a bar on site. Luggage storage, free newspapers, taxi booking, and cribs can be requested via the hotel reception. Pets are accommodated for a fee. Lift access is available to all rooms. The hotel is equipped with meeting space and a fitness room with just a few pieces of cardio equipment and weights. There is also a sauna and billiards room. Though room service is available, there is no on-site restaurant and no on-site parking. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel and there's a handy jump-on computer with a printer.
