Bottom Line

The charming Casa Cuma Bed & Breakfast is in a residential neighborhood that's within a 15-minute walk of Santa Fe Plaza, the city's historic center. It's quiet and beautiful, with views of the surrounding mountains. Along with three rooms and one suite in the main building (two casitas and a larger house are available in another location), the B&B offers a cozy living room, a hot breakfast served every morning, snacks and beverages available 24-hours a day, and an outdoor hot tub for an intimate respite. A mid-range property, prices here are a bit higher than competing bed-and-breakfasts in the area.

Casa Cuma Bed & Breakfast

Scene

A beautiful, homey bed and breakfast infused with local flare

The Casa Cuma, within walking distance of Santa Fe's historic center, offers a charming retreat. The living room/common area of the hotel is comfortable and welcoming, with leather chairs around a large fireplace and a beautiful wood dining table. The wood credenzas and cabinets that line the walls are lovely and have intricately carved inlays. Several plants in the room add to the homey vibe. Plenty of art, much of it by local artists, hangs on the walls, including several vibrant paintings of the area.

Casa Cuma also has a beautiful stone patio, where breakfast is served in the warmer months. The B&B's location on a hillside gives a gorgeous view of the surrounding area, with trees, mountains, and historic Santa Fe just below.

Rooms

They range in size from average to large, and all are beautifully decorated.

There are three rooms and one suite in the main building (two casitas and a house are available nearby), each with its own private entrance. Wooden steps lead up to the three rooms, which also have small patios and chairs. Rooms are individually designed, but all maintain the color and flare emblematic of the area, with colorful comforters, accent walls, and local art. Rooms vary in size -- the Cowgirl Room may look a bit petite, but all the rooms are well-designed so that there's enough room to move around. Bathrooms are not particularly large but are beautifully tiled and include colorful ceramic sinks. The B&B's one suite is similar in style and beauty to the rooms but is much larger, with fireplace stoves and a separate living room and bedroom. Rooms come with flat-screen TVs (ranging in size) and free Wi-Fi.
