Overview

Pros
  • Great location in the Providencia area

  • Spacious apartments with separate sitting rooms

  • Full kitchens great for cooking in

  • Some apartments have balconies

  • Large wood sauna

  • Great value for budget travelers

Cons
  • Furniture and finishings are dated

  • Kitchens don't come with dishwashers

Bottom Line

Club Presidente Santiago offers apartment-style suites in the neighborhood of Providencia. The apartments include full kitchens (though no dishwashers), sitting rooms with flat-screen TVs, and up to two bedrooms. Although the rooms are clean, fairly spacious, and comfortable, all of the furniture and fixtures are dated. Despite the lack of luxury, the value for the money at this unique spot cannot be ignored. If style is not a requirement, the rates and location make Club Presidente Santiago worth a look.

Location

In Providencia, to the east of downtown Santiago

Club Presidente is located in the neighborhood of Providencia. The area is full of shops, cafes, and bars, and is known to be home to many artists. The hotel is an eight-minute walk to the subway on a relatively quiet street.Santiago has long been known as a stopover city used only for connections to other more exciting sites in South America, but in the last 15 years it has gained ground as a sophisticated metropolis. A purely economic and political center for Chile has given way to increasingly respected dining, great shopping and lots of bike paths. With a decent underground system, a competitive nightlife, and proximity to the Andes for skiing, Santiago has a lot to offer.- 30-minute drive to Arturo Merino Benitez Airport
