Though it’s in the middle of a bustling village, La Tavernetta retains a calm and peaceful feeling, helped along by the garden surrounded by olive trees, overlooking the coast towards the Zingaro nature reserve. The 19 air-conditioned rooms of La Tavernetta are fresh and modern with a lightness to them, though the yellow walls in the bathroom of the Standard unit with a court view are a little too bright. Decor varies, but expect wood floors, attractive rugs, a mix of homey and contemporary decor, and tasteful furniture. There are lovely balconies with small mosaic tile tables and flowers. (Spaces facing the garden are quieter.) Some rooms have tiny tube TVs, while others have flat-screens. There are also minibars, safes, ironing boards, and hairdryers. Keep in mind the bathrooms have very modern stall showers.
