Bottom Line

The five-room Cozy Cactus Bed and Breakfast is a warm, welcoming, and affordable Sedona bed-and-breakfast in a quiet neighborhood overlooking stunning Bell Rock, with a hiking trail through the red rocks that begins just outside the hotel's back gate. Their slogan -- "Not fancy... Fabulous!" -- perfectly captures the vibe of this relaxed, family-run hotel, offering exceptional views and personal attention. Each room is different, but all have kitchenettes, king beds, private entrances, and homey Southwestern decor. The free, three-course breakfast is exceptionally popular. Those who are willing to trade the intimate, special vibe for more features (such as a pool) may want to compare prices with the Sedona Rouge.

Cozy Cactus Bed and Breakfast

Scene

Homey and colorful Southwestern decor set against unobstructed desert views, a communal atmosphere focused on firepits and sumptuous breakfasts, and personal attention

Everything about the Cozy Cactus Bed and Breakfast has a homey, lived-in feel, but it still manages to be spotless and spacious, with privacy for those who want quiet time. A large patio with several fire pits is available for guests who want to socialize with an adult beverage and watch the sunset over the red rocks. The owners have given their personal touch to every aspect of this bed-and-breakfast, from the warm Mexican blankets provided for guests to wrap up in for a chilly night of stargazing, to the wide variety of books found in guest rooms and around the common areas. The furniture and decor are rustic and pure Southwest, with something interesting to see everywhere you look. Some sinks are hand-painted, some mirrors handmade with Mexican tin, and found desert rocks and branches rest on mantels. Breakfast is a social affair, served around the communal kitchen table in the colorful and eclectic common room, and the owners and their friendly dog, Tequila, are Sedona experts, and are happy to go the extra mile to make guests feel at home.
