Bottom Line

The Hotel Eurostars Regina is a simple chain hotel in the San Lorenzo district with a few attractions, bars, and shops within walking distance. Common areas have a plain, Spanish design with cheery yellow walls; a nice exterior courtyard has a fountain. Rooms are simple with yellow walls and bedspreads, and some have Juliette balconies with street views. Bathrooms and individual rooms are small, and some rooms experience noise. There is free Wi-Fi throughout and an on-site breakfast buffet and snack bar, for a fee. On-site parking incurs a daily fee as well, but there is a 24-hour concierge at the front desk.

Hotel Eurostars Regina

Scene

A basic chain hotel with a nice courtyard

The Hotel Eurostars Regina is a basic and simple chain hotel that is decorated in a traditional style. Andalusian architecture with yellow arches can be found in the common areas and the lobby is full of plain brown, wooden chairs and glass-topped tables. This hotel is a former school building with a typical inner courtyard and a lovely fountain decorated in azulejo tiles in the outer courtyard. A breakfast area has dated brown tile and ordinary red-striped chairs while the lobby has free newspapers and a phone booth. Although the property has a nice Spanish style, it’s nonetheless an average and no-frills value hotel.

The Museum of Fine Arts, Plaza de Armas Shopping Center, and Casa de la Memoria are within walking distance, while Alcazar and Giralda are a 15-minute drive or 20-minute bus ride away from the hotel. A rental car is only necessary if you plan to travel outside the city center.

Rooms

Clean but dated rooms with small bathrooms

Every room at the Hotel Eurostars Regina has the same somewhat dated design. A yellow accent wall can be found behind each bed, and they're all covered with gray/brown patterned bed runners. White walls with blue trim don't exactly give them a fresh feel. The rooms do have nice hardwood flooring and pine furniture, but they lack character and individual rooms are small. Air-conditioning, minibars, flat-screen TVs, and free newspapers are standard while cribs are available upon request. There are also rooms for smokers and some rooms have small Juliette balconies with street views. Although the bathrooms have marble floors, all are small. Hair dryers, shower/tub combos, and Eurostars Hotels amenities stock the bathrooms, but the design is bland. There are only toilets, and no bidets. Some guests mention hearing exterior noise in some rooms as well.

Features

Free Wi-Fi and 24-hour concierge and front desk

Besides the 24-hour concierge and front desk, this hotel doesn’t have many services. There is indoor parking, but it has a daily fee. There is a breakfast buffet in the morning, but it receives mixed reviews. The snack bar at nighttime has sandwiches, salads, coffee, and wine; however, it also doesn’t receive overwhelmingly great reviews. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.
