The same family has run the Hotel Posta since its creation in 1921 and it shows. The fourth-generation owners have created a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the 20th century building and the lobby is mostly contemporary and well-lit. The breakfast room has a lot of photos that give the space a homey feel. Some of the common areas are on the dated side; the TV room and breakfast room have pale peach and yellow paint mixed with boring red furniture, and the bar’s wood looks like it has seen better days. Because of the central location, there isn’t any outdoor space, but the exterior arch of the building’s entry is lovely.

It’s across the street from an archeological museum and within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and many attractions including Galleria Regionale della Sicilia, Martorana, and Piazza Politeama. Public transportation can get you anywhere in Palermo and a rental car is only necessary if you plan on leaving the city.

Rooms are much more modern than the common areas with fresh white linens, nice mood lighting, and updated white furniture. "Simple yet contemporary" also applies to the paint design and wispy yellow drapes. Despite some rooms being smaller than others, all make good use of available space. Some rooms have washer/dryers and beautiful tile, while all rooms have flat-screen TVs and air-conditioning. Most bathrooms are modern with white tile, black countertops, and wood doors, but others have dated pink tile and lack counter space due to pedestal sinks. All bathrooms have bidets and showers, but no tubs. Balconies are also standard and have views of the surrounding alleys and rooftops.
