Bottom Line

The upscale Sentido Perissia certainly doesn’t lack options for entertainment, dining, or wellness. The all-inclusive beachfront property counts eight restaurants (with ingredients sourced from its own farm), four bars, four pools, dedicated activities for children, a Turkish hammam and spa, water sports, and evening discos among its many amenities. The family-friendly vibe and clean facilities make this a solid choice for those who seek a full resort experience. The rooms are well-appointed and often attached to balconies, but some of the bathrooms are small for families. All-day pool music and crowds can make for constant noise and long lines at the buffets. For an all-inclusive, adult-only hotel, check rates at the beachfront Barut Andiz.

Sentido Perissia

Scene

All-inclusive family-friendly resort is constantly busy

From the well-manicured gardens and beach access to the outdoor terraces and several pools, the Sentido Perissia provides an upscale, family-friendly, all-inclusive resort experience. Efforts have been made to give the mostly modern decor some character, including Turkish rugs, black iron detailing above the front desk, and traditional Moorish doors as wall decor. Constant activity and entertainment options, plus loud music by the pool, keep the place buzzing and make it hard to escape noise. However, well-maintained facilities, beautiful Mediterranean views, and an unmistakable holiday vibe makes this a popular option for families and tour groups.

Location

Direct beachfront location; nearby bus stop provides easy access to Manavgat and Side’s ancient city

The hotel is situated on a beautiful sandy beach and there are several resorts and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The center of Side is a 10-minute drive away, and the tourist-friendly town of Manavgat is a 40-minute drive away. Side can be reached by bus, accessed from a depot just five to seven minutes away on foot. Popular attractions in the ancient city of Side, like Apollo’s Temple and the Ancient Theater, are about 15 minutes away by car. Antalya Airport is about an hour away by car. Rooms

Clean, and most have balconies, but Standard Rooms are a tight squeeze for families

Rooms are clean and pleasant, but not particularly upscale. Marble floors, wooden wall panels, and the occasional framed art pieces lend some tasteful touches to the otherwise simple look of gray leather stools and bed frames, wooden desks, and simple lamps and chairs. Windows could be larger, given the hotel’s beautiful seaside location. However, all 258-square-foot Standard Rooms and some of the 376-square-foot Standard Larger Rooms do come with small balconies or terraces that have sea or garden views. Standard Rooms are too small for more than two people. Standard Rooms have two single beds pushed together, and Standard Larger Rooms have a double and single bed, a sofa bed, and a cot. 645-square-foot Suites add daybeds in the living room.

All rooms have air-conditioning, safes, flat-screen TVs, and free Wi-Fi, which can be slow. Tea-and coffee-making facilities are provided, along with refrigerated minibars. Ironing equipment isn't provided in rooms, and is also unavailable on request, as the hotel has an ironing service.

Bathrooms are on the small side, but have clean marble tiling and granite sink tops. All have walk-in showers with handheld showerheads. Suites have separate hot tubs. Hotel brand toiletries and hairdryers are provided.

Features

All-inclusive at eight restaurants, four bars, four pools, wellness facilities, and kids’ activities

In true resort style, the hotel has eight all-inclusive restaurants. Most ingredients are sourced from the hotel’s own farm. Paloma -- the main, huge buffet restaurant -- offers large continental spreads and hot food stations for breakfast, but lines can be long. The Sandy Beach Restaurant, also a buffet, serves lunch on a beautiful outdoor deck. Five a la carte restaurants include bistro fare, Turkish cuisine, international menus, a steakhouse, and Japanese food. Late breakfast and afternoon tea can be enjoyed at the casual Patisserie. Guests should note, not all restaurants serve all three meals, and many have dress codes. Room service is available. Four bars are peppered throughout the hotel, including at the lobby, by the pool and beach, and at the disco.

The beach is lined with long rows of free lounge chairs with umbrellas. Waiters serve free fruit and water. Water sports activities are on offer. Sun loungers are also available by the pools, and cabanas can be rented. The outdoor activity pool, and the pool with waterslides, can get loud and crowded, but there are also a quieter outdoor relaxation pool and an indoor pool.

Wellness amenities offer a nice escape for adults. Personal training, and several beauty and massage treatments are available at the spa. There is also a hot tub, a sauna, and a Turkish-style steam room. A tennis court and table tennis are also available. Fridges of free cold water around the resort help guests stay hydrated.

There's plenty for kids to do, including a playground and a teens’ club for older children, where games, sports, mini discos, and musical performances are organized. Parents can download a mobile app to monitor their children’s activities at the kids’ club. Adult-friendly activities include hikes, cooking lessons, and evening music.

Laundry services and on-site parking are available. Wi-Fi throughout the property is free.
