The Holiday Inn Express Singapore Clarke Quay is a modern, reasonably priced upper-middle-range hotel on the edge of Chinatown that offers an excellent value. The 442 rooms, with floor-to-ceiling windows, frame city views, and guests rave about the rooftop infinity pool with two whirlpool tubs. There's also a rooftop gym with extensive skyline views. In keeping with the standards of the chain, the hotel provides free Wi-Fi and a free buffet breakfast served in the lobby's Great Room. Holiday Inn Express Singapore Clarke Quay

Scene

A modern chain hotel that draws business travelers, families, and small tour groups

Business travelers, families, and small tour groups are frequent guests at the Holiday Inn Express Singapore Clarke Quay. The glass-and-steel modern building has a high, glass-ceiling lobby that allows for extensive planting, creating a green-house atmosphere. Bright-red contemporary wing chairs add pops of color. The columned breakfast room has soaring ceilings with pendant lights, and softly lit food stations. The lobby bar has a marble communal table with tub chairs upholstered in saddle leather. Woven loveseats with large cushions, some placed in niches, and a foosball table extend the lounge, as does the outdoor terrace of slatted wood tables and chairs with umbrellas. On the sleek rooftop an infinity pool and whirlpool tubs edge a neat lawn and garden deck with mesh loungers and umbrella tables. From here, the city views add a richness to this property.
