Bottom Line

The three-and-a-half-pearl Hotel Boss is a massive high rise property in central Singapore. There are several dining and shopping outlets within the immediate vicinity and it's within walking distance to public transportation. The 1,500 rooms are quite small and finished with modern decor, flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and free Wi-Fi. The hotel has a small fitness center and an outdoor swimming pool, along with a small kids' playground. There are two buffet breakfasts available (halal and non-halal), though they are not included in all room rates. Several restaurants, including take-away outlets, and shops are on the ground floor of the hotel and there's a full halal restaurant on the fourth floor. Those interested in a smaller hotel with an interesting mix of contemporary and neoclassic interiors can compare rates at Dorsett Singapore.

Hotel Boss

Scene

Huge hotel with modern interiors

Making a mark on the Singapore skyline, Hotel Boss is housed within a high-rise fully-glassed triangular building with an open center court. There is a large covered parking lot at the entrance of the hotel. Inside, the hotel is modern with an exclusive appeal. The lobby features glossy black stone floors and reception desk and central lounge area with beige leather sofas and a large dramatic overhead chandelier. Jubilicious, the halal restaurant on the fourth floor has a modern, bright, and airy feel, with floor-to-ceiling windows around the majority of the room. Pappasan, on the other hand, has a retro, rustic vibe with exposed ducting, wooden table and chairs, leather seating, low-hanging contemporary lighting, and eclectic collection of artwork. With 1,500 rooms, this hotel can get quite crowded and noisy. Guests range from business travelers to tourists, including solo travelers, couples, and families. Note that it can get quite busy and crowded in the public areas.
