Designed for long-term stays, the 108 apartment suites have one or two-bedrooms, and are furnished in a sleek, contemporary style. All have separate living and dining areas, and fully equipped kitchens with dishwashers and washer/dryer combos, and Nespresso machines. Oyster Hotel Review

Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Beach Road, Singapore

Scene

Stylish apartment-style hotel with an ultra-modern vibe

Occupying a tall glass and steel tower block, the Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Beach Road looks more like an office block than a hotel. The lobby is done up in business-like colors, with high ceilings painted in stark black, and a silvery gray color scheme. But an abstract-looking chandelier in an amoeba-like shape, tufted stools, and a shag rug push the fashion factor far beyond the typical office-friendly environment. With its apartment facilities and business services, the hotel is geared toward corporate travelers on stays of a week or more, but tourists, especially families and couples, find their way here too.

Rooms

One- and two-bedroom suites with full kitchens and modern decor

The 108 one- and two-bedroom suites at Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Beach Road are well-maintained and decorated in a sleek, contemporary style. Large windows provide plenty of natural light, and the color palette consists of pale grays and crisp whites. Floors are wood laminate, and the clean-lined wood-grain furniture has an ash-gray tinge. Bright white bed linens, headboards in gray velour-like fabric, and white sheer curtains give a softness that takes the edge out of glass-topped dining tables, molded plastic chairs, and metallic lamps. Some rooms have scenic views over the city skyline.

Suites include exceptional technology, including two flat-screen TVs: Bedrooms have 40-inch flat-screen TVs, while a second 46-inch TV is found in the living room with a sound bar, subwoofer, and Blu-ray player, which can be connected to personal devices via Bluetooth. Bedrooms have dock stations for iPhones, with a clock-radio function. All suites include free Wi-Fi.

Bathrooms are spacious and tiled in light beige, and include shower/tub combos or large walk-in showers with rainfall showerheads. They also have large mirrors, magnifying mirrors, scales, Molton Brown toiletries, bathrobes, slippers and hairdryers.

The sleek and modern white and gray wood-grain kitchens are also exceptionally well-equipped, with premium appliances: Nespresso machines (with three free capsules), toasters, electric kettles, rice cookers, induction hobs, multifunction ovens, large fridges and freezers, combination washers and dryers, and dishwashers. The drawers and cupboards are well-stocked with crockery, cutlery, high-quality WMF pots and pans, utensils, and glassware.

All suites also have electronic safes, irons and ironing boards, free mineral water, and 24-hour personal assistant services. Guests staying at least seven nights receive a personalized welcome hamper, and a free ironing service for a maximum of two pieces of clothing or one suit.
