Bottom Line

An Inn 2 Remember is a charming upper-middle-range bed and breakfast in a convenient downtown location a block away from Sonoma Plaza. Inviting, country-chic interiors include a lovely living room area and a sunlit breakfast room where a free homemade breakfast is served daily. There's also an outdoor hot tub, gazebo, and patio where guests can dine alfresco. The inn's six rooms feature light and airy French vintage decor, and several of them have fireplaces and private porches. The homey atmosphere of the property is accentuated by thoughtful touches like bikes that guests are free to use, in-room welcome snacks, and free Wi-Fi throughout. It's a popular inn, and if booked, it's worth considering another area favorite, Inn at Sonoma.

An Inn 2 Remember

Scene

Homey inn with cozy country-chic interiors

An Inn 2 Remember comprises two charming white clapboard houses, edged in pretty plants and greenery. A gravel patio with cute bistro tables and blue chairs greets guests outside of the blue front door. Interiors are inviting and homey, with country-chic decor and cozy common areas that include a living room with an exposed brick wall, a wood burning stove, and gorgeous leather chairs. The adjoining breakfast room is a sunlit space with a large wooden table topped with vases of fresh flowers and surrounded by white chairs. Outside, a big gazebo offers an alfresco breakfast option where guests can enjoy a cup of brew around a hexagon-shaped table. A small stone walkway leads to the outdoor hot tub under a vine-covered pergola.

Location

Located in downtown Sonoma near shops and restaurants

An Inn 2 Remember is conveniently located on a residential street a block away from Sonoma Plaza. The plaza is Sonoma's main square, with many restaurants, shops, and galleries surrounding it, all easily accessible on foot. The main attraction in the area are Sonoma's wineries, and though most require a short drive, there are some that can be reached by bike (the inn supplies free bikes), such as Ravenswood Winery, Buena Vista Winery, or Bartholomew Park Winery. Santa Rosa is a 40-minute drive away, and the San Francisco Airport is within an hour-and-a-half drive.

Rooms

Pretty rooms with French vintage decor; some with private porches and whirlpool tubs

Rooms at An Inn 2 Remember, though small, have a light and airy feel with white walls and soft colors. Country-chic decor meets a French vintage look, with distressed dressers, decorative pillows, and stylish accoutrements like dried lavender in mason jars, woven baskets, and vintage window shutters adorning the walls. Beds are comfortable and topped with goose bedding and soft cotton sheets, but some may find the berber carpeting underfoot a bit rough on bare feet. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, iPod docks, free Wi-Fi, and welcome snacks, but lack tea- and coffee-making facilities. Some also have fireplaces filled with candles or shaded porches. The green tiles in some bathrooms and cheap shower curtains are a bit of a discord from the stylish rooms, but fluffy bathrobes and toiletries are provided, and some bathrooms have whirlpool tubs.
