Scene
Upscale lodge in a spectacular setting
The 50 units of this sprawling, rustic lodge complex have
private entries, spreading activity throughout the property. The spacious, bright, and open lobby is inviting, with a sandstone wall behind the wood
front desk; reddish, natural stone tile flooring; and lots of dark wood framing
doors and the large windows. Comfortable white sofas and armchairs are arranged
in clusters throughout the space. If there's a center of
activity on this property, it’s the outdoor pool and hot tub area where guests enjoy great
views of the surrounding red rocks and unwind after exploring the spectacular
Zion area. The brew pub in the surrounding village complex also sees lots of
activity later in the day, as does the gift shop, food market, outfitter, and
movie theater. This is a welcoming and classy property buzzing with hikers,
families, and others eagerly anticipating their next adventure in the great
outdoors.
Location
A brief walk or shuttle to Zion National Park entrance
The lodge offers the closest accommodations to the South
Entrance of Zion National Park, just a four-minute walk away. A free shuttle that
takes visitors throughout the park is just a footbridge over the Virgin River
that abuts the rear of the lodge, and can be reached in less than a two-minute walk. The lodge is
part of Zion Canyon Village that includes a giant-screen theater, brew pub,
food market, outdoors outfitter, gift shop, and restaurants surrounding the
property, making all village attractions a very brief walk of three minutes or
less. Downtown Springdale is approximately one mile away, about three minutes
by car or via the free shuttle the lodge operates. In downtown, there is a
supermarket and other shops and restaurants. The Obert C. Tanner Amphitheater
is about four minutes by car, and the Zion Visitors Bureau office is about a
six-minute drive. McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas is about a
three-hour drive, and Salt Lake City International Airport is about four and a half hours
by car.
Rooms
Spacious rooms with tasteful, lodge-style furnishings
Rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated, and upscale in a
rustic, lodge-style fashion. Decor features extensive use of rich, natural wood in doors, window frames, headboards, and furniture including dressers and
nightstands. Bedroom carpets are pleasant and neutral; walls are painted cream
with a few deep red accent walls in certain rooms; and white linens are accented with a patterned coverlet in earth tones. Bedrooms have antique-style desks with upholstered chairs and 37-inch flat-screen TVs. Studios have
queen or king beds and granite-top counters with microwaves and mini-fridges as well as coffeemakers on top. Suites have kitchens with full-size fridges, microwaves, stove tops, dishwashers, sinks,
coffeemakers, and dishware. They also have separate sitting areas with a second
flat-screen TV, queen sleeper sofas, armchairs, and wood dining tables with four
chairs. One large, open space with quality hardwood floors houses the kitchen, living area, and dining space. Suites also have either a
small patio or balcony; some suites include queen Murphy beds, while the Judy
Ann Suite adds a jet tub and fireplace. Bathrooms are roomy but not overly large, and all have nice
hardwood floors and spacious, tan granite vanities with large wall mirrors.
The same granite frames rainfall shower/tub combos. Rooms on the second floor tend to offer the
best views of the surrounding mountains, but there are no elevators to reach this floor. Air-conditioning and ceiling fans are provided in all rooms, and there is free Wi-Fi.
