Bottom Line

Le Petit Hotel lives up to its name -- with only 10 rooms, the property certainly is small. Guests can expect a relaxing atmosphere, personalized, attentive service, and plenty of room to themselves. The rooms are spacious and sophisticated with full kitchens, modern bathrooms with rainfall showers, dining tables for four, and private oceanfront balconies. Other perks such as free Wi-Fi, a free continental breakfast, and a beachfront location help make Le Petit Hotel a top upscale choice in the popular Grand Case area. Due to its small size, the resort lacks some amenities that you’d find at a larger resort such as a fitness area and on-site dining, and there is no pool. Sister property Hotel L'Esplanade has a pool but no beach, while Grand Case Beach Club has both but its rooms are less luxurious.

Le Petit Hotel

Scene

Romantic, intimate, and secluded

The hotel is housed in an attractive, compact three-story building with Mediterranean architecture. A few steps lead up to the open lobby and elements such as white balustrades, colorful mosaic tile, and Moroccan lanterns lend the property character. The hotel is set fairly close to the main road but parking and road noise are not a problem.

The hotel’s small size allows for personalized, attentive service. Staff members man the front desk every day and the manager lives next door and is reachable at night. The staff is attentive and friendly, and are happy to book excursions or give guests advice about the area.

The hotel is quiet and never crowded, and many folks feel like they have the place to themselves. The property has a relaxed and romantic atmosphere, and most guests are couples (though there are occasional families).

Rooms

Sophisticated Deluxe Studios and a One-Bedroom Suite all have ocean views.

The hotel’s 10 rooms comprise Deluxe Studios and a One-Bedroom Suite, and start at a spacious 470 square feet. Each room has an oceanfront balcony furnished with a table as well as cushioned chairs. Decor incorporates plush white bedding, gray tile floors, and lots of attractive dark wood (including the wood ceilings). Modern, quirky accents such as paper floor lamps and colorful contemporary art add a homey feel to the space.

The Deluxe Studios are divided into two sections: bedrooms with comfortable king beds and a dining/kitchen area, with a dining table for four. The kitchens have large vintage-style Smeg fridges, microwaves, stoves, and ovens, and come stocked with plates, glasses, cooking and eating utensils, and pots and pans. The kitchens are designed in a modern style with stainless steel appliances and contemporary cabinetry. The bathrooms are sleek, with floating square sinks, freestanding shelving for belongings, upscale toiletries, and large gray tile showers with rainfall showerheads. The Studios on the third floor have nice vaulted ceilings, making them feel even more spacious, and an Oversized Deluxe Studio with 540 square feet and direct beach access is available.

The One-Bedroom Suite is 940 square feet and is located on the first floor with direct beach access. It has its own terrace that faces the beach. The living area is spacious with a couch and armchair and the kitchen is larger as well. The suite has a walk-in closet.

All rooms come with high-end amenities including flat-screen cable televisions with DVD players, stereos with CD and iPod docks, private wall safes, iron and ironing boards, Damana toiletries from France, and spa bathrobes. While the units are well-maintained with lots amenities, the rooms at the hotel’s sister property, L’Esplanade, are more spacious, starting at 560 square feet.
