Fraser Suites Sydney

This 42-story property was designed by renowned architect Sir Norman Foster
and has a sophisticated and elegant feel throughout its interiors. The lobby is situated in the building's atrium and features a huge rainfall-inspired chandelier above a softly-lit seating area. Furniture throughout is contemporary and on-trend, in chartreuse and deep gray-brown shades, and the hotel is attached to a large shopping complex with a food court. The mezzanine breakfast area
is a fine place to start the day, with it's simple and sober design scheme mirroring the style in the lobby. There are a few other public spaces and the hotel has a definite corporate vibe -- instead it feels like a slice of residential life in the city center. Fraser Suites
caters mainly to business travelers, some who stay long-term, though it also attracts a fair
number of tourists drawn by the spacious rooms and on-site
features. 

The main entrance to Fraser Suites is on Kent Street, a
relatively quiet city street with a cycle path that runs throughout much of downtown. The hotel sits right in Sydney's Central Business District, and it's attached to a trendy shopping mall with a number of
restaurants. Next door is a large cinema complex. The surrounding streets are
full of restaurants, offices, and bars. It’s easy to see Sydney's major sights on foot from here as well. Cockle Bay Wharf is a five-minute walk, while Sydney Town Hall is four minutes from the hotel on foot. Hyde Park and the ANZAC War Memorial as well as the Australian Museum are an eight-minute walk from the hotel,
and the restaurants lining Darling Harbour are 10 minutes away on foot. The Rocks, a trendy neighborhood near Circular Quay, as well as the Sydney Opera House are a bit further, and take about 10 minutes to reach by cab. Getting farther afield is easy as Town Hall Station is just a three-minute walk from the property for trains that run throughout the city, including to Circular Quay (10 minutes). Sydney Airport
is a 15-minute drive, though it can be reached by train from Town Hall Station in just under 30 minutes as well. 

The 201 fully-furnished apartments at Fraser Suites are available as Studio, One-Bedroom, Two-Bedroom or Duplex Penthouse Suites. Guests can expect to see chic and stylish interiors using contemporary dark colors and deep earth tones alongside stylish furniture with sharp mod silhouettes. The apartments are spacious -- starting at nearly 27 square meters (287 square feet) -- and have floor-to-ceiling windows providing lots of natural light and fantastic city views. Those on the higher floors look across to the Blue Mountains and Darling Harbour on one side, and the north head of Sydney Harbour on the other side. Penthouse suites are split-level and feature panoramic skyline views. All apartments have
free Wi-Fi, a home entertainment system, flat-screen TV with satellite
channels, minibar, microwave, Nespresso coffeemaker, safe, air-conditioning, bathrobe and slippers, and
daily housekeeping. Some also have full kitchens and washer/dryers. Bathrooms are
equally luxurious and have attractive lighting, luxury fittings, upscale toiletries, and
large walk-in showers with rainfall showerheads, though some have separate tubs as well.

The Fraser Suites offers a good range of amenities to guests for a hotel that focuses on long-term stays. There’s a
spot-lit, heated indoor swimming pool with a glass bottom looking down onto the
shopping mall a few floors below. Adjacent to this is a hot tub, sauna, and
fitness center. Bikes are offered to guests free of charge for use on the city’s
cycle ways. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property, and there’s a business center
and meeting room for corporate guests. A buffet breakfast is served in the
lounge daily, although this is not included in the room rate and offerings can get repetitive. Room service
is available in the evenings. Parking and an airport shuttle are available for
an additional fee.
