Eden Beach Bungalows

Eden Beach Bungalows is a boutique hotel set along a scenic white-sand beach, with a tranquil ambience and tropical grounds with tall trees. The hotel is a popular choice with families and is known for its personalized service and laidback vibe. Interiors have a chic, distinctly Mediterranean aesthetic, with white-washed reclaimed wood features, rustic furniture, and bright tropical decor. The common areas are all semi open-air and have sea views. Facilities are well suited to relaxation, with a large lagoon-like swimming pool lined with tropical greenery, a beachfront massage hut, and an international restaurant and bar with gorgeously appointed interiors. The hotel's main asset is the white-sand beach it overlooks, which is semi-private and fairly uncrowded.

The French owners are involved in every aspect of running the hotel and have a background managing restaurants in ritzy Saint-Tropez. European influences are easily noticeable throughout the property, especially in the food and decor, though tropical Thai elements are also prominent.

Eden Beach Bungalows is set along Bophut Beach, a fairly quiet and developed area in northern Samui. A five-minute drive (or 20-minute walk away) are the vibrant streets of Fisherman's Village, which are lined with restaurants, bars, hip cafes, and boutique shops selling wares made by local designers. Located around a 15-minute drive from the hotel is the Wat Phra Yai (Big Buddha Temple), an important religious site and popular tourist attraction which features a 40-foot (12-meter) golden buddha statue perched along the waterfront.

Chaweng, the island's main tourism and nightlife hub, is located a 25-minute drive from the hotel. The area is lined with nightclubs, beach clubs, cabaret shows, bars, and lots of dining and shopping options -- including the island's largest shopping mall, Central Festival Samui, which features a cinema and supermarket, plus a decent selection of local and international brands. Maenam Pier, a 15-minute drive from the hotel, is where the Lomprayah catamaran speedboats leave from. Lomprayah is reputably the most reliable and quickest boat transfer option to Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, and Surat Thani (mainland). Samui International Airport is about a 20-minute drive from the hotel.

The bungalows and villas feature a chic tropical look, plus plenty of natural light and airflow with large glass sliding doors spilling out onto terrace seating areas. Interiors are rustic chic with textured stucco walls, hardwood furniture, bamboo accents, thatched roofs, and polished cement floors with ochre coloring and a well-aged patina. Other pops of color come from the green palm-print throw pillows and seat cushions. 

Villas and bungalows are both furnished with built-in platform beds and comfy mattresses, daybeds and outdoor seating, plus small wardrobe spaces. Villas feature spacious open-plan living areas with long sofas, dining tables, and kitchens. Standard amenities in all units include air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, safes, mini-fridges, kettles, and two bottles of water. Villa kitchens are appointed with stovetop burners, sinks, full-size refrigerators, microwaves, and toasters. Bathrooms are for the most part clean and modern with black terrazzo surfaces, walk-in rainfall showers, lots of countertop space, and large mirrors. Toiletries and hairdryers are provided. 

Eden Beach Bungalows is an intimate beachfront hotel with a quality set of leisure facilities on offer. The hotel is set along a picturesque white-sand beach, which is semi-private and has plenty of lounge chairs laid out for guests. The large lagoon-like swimming pool is one of the hotel's most attractive features and tends to be a hub of activity throughout the day. Adequate seating and umbrellas are laid out around the pool, plus poolside drinks and meal service is available. Koh-Co Beach Restaurant is opened for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It serves a compact but diverse menu that includes French, Mediterranean, and Thai cuisines, plus  serve tapas and a fully stocked bar. On-site parking and Wi-Fi are free. There's a beachfront massage hut for simple treatments.
