The Privilege Hotel Ezra Beach Club

The Privilege Hotel Ezra is an ultra-modern boutique hotel, with chic contemporary interiors, a fun scene, and a gorgeous white-sand beach setting. The lobby space has a sophisticated look, with hardwood trim and facades, light-toned color palette, and glamorous black-and-white photographs of models, musicians, and Hollywood stars. The hotel’s defining feature is the long outdoor swimming pool, which is centered in the property and stretches almost the full length of the hotel. The pool tends to be a hub of activity throughout the day and has a party vibe. The swim-up pool bar offers daily happy hour specials and chill house music plays  from early until late. Also, pool parties are frequently held on the weekends, and usually include live DJs, seafood barbecues, and free-flow drink specials. The hotel is popular with a younger crowd and attracts mainly couples, groups of friends, and solo travelers. Families do also frequent the hotel, though it might not be the best fit for those with young children. Also, light sleepers may want to look elsewhere as the hotel can be a bit loud due to traffic noise and the blaring pool speakers. 

The hotel is set along Bangrak Beach in the Bophut area, a fairly busy and developed part of northern Samui. Big Buddha Temple, Fisherman's Village, and Samui International Airport are all located about a five-minute drive away. A few simple restaurants and convenience stores are located within walking distance but the immediate area feels fairly isolated, at least for pedestrians. Fisherman's Village (five-minute drive) is a vibrant tourist hub lined with trendy boutiques, coffee shops, and beachfront restaurants. Chaweng is located a 20-minute drive from the hotel, and features tons of nightclubs, beach clubs, cabaret shows, and local bars, as well as a huge selection of restaurants and shops. Lomprayah catamaran speedboats to Koh Phangan and Koh Tao, leave from the Maenam Pier, located a 25-minute drive from the hotel.

The hotel offers offers a range of modern suites and private beachfront pool villas. All units feature a sharp contemporary look with parquet floors, hardwood furniture and trim, carved wooden accents, comfy upholstered furniture, and clean white walls decorated with glitzy black and white photographs. Rooms are outfitted with wooden platform beds and quality mattresses, leather sofa benches, and wardrobes, but don't have work desks. Standard amenities include air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, safes, mini-fridges, coffee- and tea-making facilities, and free bottled water. 

Deluxe Seaview Rooms, Pool Villas, and the Penthouse Suite all include a furnished balcony or patio.  The Penthouse Suite has a huge open-plan living space with a comfy lounge area, a dining table set, and a kitchenette. Pool Villas are housed in walled-off compounds, and feature private plunge pools with outdoor sundecks and lounge chairs, plus have direct beach access. Bathrooms are clean and modern, feature marble interiors, wooden bathroom vanities, and walk-in rainfall showers, though they're tight on space.

One of the hotel’s biggest selling points is its direct beach access. It's set overlooking a picturesque white-sand beach that's ideal for swimming, water sports, and long walks. A long and narrow 131-foot (30-meter) swimming pool sits centered in the property and features a swim-up bar, a shallow kids' section, a hot tub, and plenty of comfy daybeds laid out for guests to relax on. The property doesn’t offer a full-service restaurant, but the lobby lounge bar serves drinks and light meals and the buffet-style breakfast is included in most room rates. Across the street at the hotel’s sister property, there is an all-day multi-cuisine restaurant and bar that serves Thai and Western favorites. Wi-Fi, on-site parking, and Chaweng Shuttles are included in the daily resort fee, along with a daily signature cocktail and laundry services.
