The Courtyard by Marriott Tokyo Station is a reliable chain property with practical amenities in a location convenient for business and leisure travelers. The modern hotel occupies the second through fourth floors of the glass and steel Kyobashi Trust Tower, a commercial office building. Its chic lobby, on the fourth floor, has high ceilings, parquet floors, a dramatic black granite reception desk, and various seating niches with chairs upholstered in turquoise or dark brown. One popular spot is the large oak common table with outlets for laptops and good lighting for reading. There's also a stylish restaurant and bar. Although some menu items are on a chalkboard and there are simple pine tables and chairs, the restaurant mixes in sleek decor with dramatic ball-shaped pendant lights strung from a high ceiling. A wall of glass provides views of some sky and other buildings. The gym has a beautiful variegated wood floor. Overall, this property offers smart and snappy design for a Courtyard.

This Marriott Hotel is in the most traditional business district of Tokyo, close to major public transportation stops. It's a two-minute walk to the Kyobashi underground, while Tokyo Station is a nine-minute walk away. The lively Ginza shopping district lies 10 to 15 minutes away on foot and the Metro Ginza Line is an 11-minute walk. For panoramic views, Tokyo Tower resides 11 minutes away by car or 25 to 30 minutes away on public transit. One of the city's top tourist sights, the Tokyo Imperial Palace is 10 minutes by car or 20 to 30 minutes by train. The elaborate Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden is a 15-minute drive or 30 to 40 minutes on public transit. Harajuku, the fashion and anime district, is a 16-minute drive or 40 minutes by train. Room options at this Courtyard by Marriott include Smaller Guest Rooms, Double Rooms, and Queen Rooms. Some guests have commented that the rooms are small for an American brand, but this is somewhat to be expected of Tokyo. Rooms are modern and very clean, although can feel a bit dark due to limited exterior light, plum carpeting, and some dark wood. However, the plain linen shade on the windows does not effectively block daylight. Walls are white but in some rooms, one wall is accented in a bright orange or turquoise. Vintage alarm clocks add a charming touch.

In each room, the 32-inch flat-screen TV is set into a dark-wood wall unit. There's also a tiny white table flanked by chairs upholstered in black-and-white houndstooth fabric. Coffee/tea facilities are provided and the mini-fridges are stocked with bottled water. Each room also comes equipped with climate controls, a safe, and free Wi-Fi. 

Bathrooms are small and practically laid out with wall-spanning mirrors and black counter sinks, modern fittings and fixtures, bidets, and shower/tub combos. One nice touch is the wand shower fitting. Hairdryers are provided along with toiletries by Nirvae, including combs and razors. There are also slippers and ironing facilities.
