This all-suite hotel is centrally located in the heart of Toronto’s Financial District, within walking distance to some major attractions. While contemporary, the hotel doesn’t really live up to the “urban zen” experience the website promises, and it is more of an apartment-style property than a relaxing retreat -- even with the bamboo plants, relaxation fountains, and yoga mats. Suites feature hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, and fully equipped kitchenettes -- some even offer washer/dryer combos -- but the furniture is cheap and a tad worn.
In the heart of Toronto’s Financial District, within walking distance to major tourist attractions, and close to public transportation
Located in Toronto's Financial District, and blocks away from the Distillery District and Entertainment District, the Cosmopolitan Hotel sits near popular sites like the CN Tower, which offers spectacular city views from its observation deck, and Rogers Centre, which is home to Canada's only Major League Baseball team.
Once an industrial park, Toronto's Entertainment District is now a bustling area filled with nightclubs, theaters, and music venues. Highlights include the Roy Thomson Hall, home of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the Toronto Film Festival, and the 12.7-acre Rogers Centre development that features the Toronto Blue Jays' stadium. The nearby Financial District is composed of skyscrapers occupied by law firms, corporate headquarters, and offices, while the Distillery District is one of Toronto's historic gems. The district got its name from the Gooderham and Worts Distillery, formerly in operation in the area as the largest distillery in the world. Claiming the largest sample of Victorian-era architecture in North America, the Distillery District is a cultural hotspot that features numerous shops, restaurants, and art galleries.
