Rixos Premium Gocek

The upscale Rixos Premium Gocek is a charming all-inclusive seaside property framed by a pine forest and green hills. The property comprises a collection of stone and wood buildings surrounded by lovely green lawns peppered with palms, trees, and flowers. Paths meander about, leading to the water where a wooden pier is lined with sunbeds and umbrellas. Interiors here are chic and sophisticated, with stylish decor adorning the airy spaces. The lobby is filled with swanky seating, cool lighting fixtures, and eye-catching wooden elements that serve as partitions and decoration in the high-ceilinged space. The hotel's bright and airy restaurant has the same sort of vibe, with navy and white geometric patterns accenting the walls and funky, minimalist lighting suspended from the ceiling. The atmosphere here is fairly quiet, thanks to an adult-only policy (no kids under 16), and clientele is made up mainly of couples -- but the spacious suites make it a great option for families with older kids and groups as well.

The hotel occupies a waterfront location on Gocek's bay and has lovely, well-maintained grounds partially surrounded by a forest. This is an internationally popular area for yachting and the town has several marinas, many aimed at mega-yachts. The property lies on the western edge of Gocek, and it's about a 15-minute walk or four-minute drive to the main part of town that offers many dining options and shops. The port city of Fethiye, with much more dining and shopping options, cultural attractions, and historic ruins, is about a 25-minute drive away. Other area attractions include the Butterfly Valley (about an hour's drive away). Dalaman Airport is about a 25-minute drive from the hotel.

The hotel offers a couple of different suites, all of which are spacious and stylish. The entry-level Deluxe Suites starts at 484 square feet (45 square meters), while the largest four-bedroom Grand Suite is 2712 square feet (252 square meters). These chic suites feature tasteful contemporary decor in beige and cream hues accented by attractive wooden furniture and stylish navy-and-white striped details. Large glass doors let in natural light and open onto private terraces. Two-bedroom Friends Suites are available, while the Wellness Suites add extras like more living space, saunas, and whirlpool tubs. Junior Suites have separate living rooms. The largest option, the Grand Suites, have four bedrooms, three bathrooms, living rooms, and kitchenettes.

Standard amenities in all categories include flat-screen TVs, minibars, tea/coffee-making facilities, air-conditioning, electronic safes, and free Wi-Fi. Lovely bathrooms feature navy-and-white tiling and marble-topped wooden sink vanities. They're equipped with walk-in rainfall showers, as well as magnifying mirrors, plush robes and slippers, and toiletries.

Features here are thorough and delightful. The hotel has two attractive outdoor pools, one of which is filled with saltwater. The pools are surrounded by wooden sundecks lined with loungers and umbrellas. The hotel also offers free shuttle service by boat to its Secret Beach, which is located a couple of minutes away. It's a lovely stretch of sand bordered by grassy lawns set with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas.

Spa facilities include a steam room, sauna, showers, and changing rooms, plus a variety of treatments are available, including traditional Turkish bath rituals. There's a fitness center on-site, as well as tennis courts and a number of organized activities like yoga and Pilates classes, aqua aerobics, beach volleyball, and Zumba. A number of other activities and tours can be booked through the hotel, including yacht, catamaran, and sailboat tours, paragliding, and diving.

Dining options at this all-inclusive resort include an all-day buffet, an a la carte restaurant specializing in grilled meats and fish, a seafood restaurant, a la carte international fare, and a casual eatery serving lunch and light meals. There are three lounges and bars as well, including one with live music in the evenings. Note that there are cover charges in some of the restaurants.
