The huge complex, which has been around since 1961, includes a tent and RV section, as well as areas where the bungalows and chalets are located. A bland walk-up front desk greets guests, who then find their way across the property with help from posted signage. It's forest location leads to lovely landscaped grounds with pine trees.

Primarily popular with vacationing families, the hotel offers several areas for kids to stay occupied. A playground with a wooden castle-like structure and colorful playhouse, and a swimming pool with a huge pirate ship, complete with sails and an attached mermaid, are usually filled with kids.

The Camping Ca'Savio is an ideal location for people looking to have a typical camping experience in the forest and close proximity to the beach. Although the property is large and it can take a while to get around, there's direct access to the sandy beach area through a long wooden walkway; umbrellas and sun loungers aren't provided but they can be rented from other vendors.

Due to its forest location, either a car or bikes are needed to explore other areas. There are a few restaurants and shops nearby. Many guests pick the camping village for its proximity to Venice; Punta Sabbioni, a ferry dock, is a 6-minute drive from the grounds and from there a 40-minute boat ride leads to Venice. Kids and families may enjoy the Aqualandia Water Park, which is a 20-minute drive away. The Venice Marco Polo Airport is an hour away.

For guests who want a little more comfort than a tent, Camping Ca'Savio has bungalows, chalets, and mobile homes available. There are four bungalow and chalet options, all of which can hold up to five people; they're small but adequate with white sheets on the beds and kitchen areas that have stove tops, mini-fridges, and all the necessary dishware and flatware. Bathrooms are basic and the showers are tiny. A nice feature is that they all have outdoor patios with tables and chairs. The mobile home options have some that can fit up to six people; layouts vary, so some have larger bathrooms than others, but all have full-size refrigerators and dining room areas with blue wooden tables and cabinets. Some of the couches and curtains are very dated and worn.

Some rooms are closer to the beach than others, so it's worth looking into if that's a key factor.

The best features of the Camping Ca'Savio are its swimming options. The sandy beach is right off the property, after guests walk down a long wooden walkway. The camping village doesn't have any umbrellas or lounge chairs, but guests can rent them from other vendors. There are two swimming pool complexes; each has both an adult and children's pool, and lifeguards are on duty. One of the children's pools has a huge pirate ship structure in the middle. During the high season, the camping village organizes day and nighttime activities including art, dance, and magic shows.

The on-site Pizzeria Ristorante serves typical Italian dishes and pizza in a shaded outdoor seating area. A supermarket with attached bakery is also available and sells a huge assortment of food and other goods. A bar for ice cream, coffee, and cocktails is adjacent to the pool.
