The Falkensteiner Hotel Am Schottenfeld is a modern hotel in Vienna's trendy seventh district, Neubau. Interiors are clean and comfortable, if somewhat generic. The lobby area is quite dark with little natural lighting, and it's decorated with dark carpet and a beige suede sofa set. The breakfast room is laid out in a structured manner, with glass walls covered in full-length white blinds, low hanging white light fittings, and large art pieces on the walls. The Lobby Bar is a bit more casual, though it lacks much character. The range of amenities and convenient location make this hotel popular with both leisure and business travelers.

Falkensteiner Hotel Am Schottenfeld is located on a quiet residential street in the trendy Neubau District. The Museum Quarter, the Wiener Stadthalle, and the Mariahilfer Strabe shopping street can all be reached within 15 minutes on foot. Hofburg Imperial Palace, Naschmarkt markets, and Vienna State Opera are about a 10- to 15-minute drive from the hotel. Most areas of Vienna can be reached by public transport, with several stops and stations within walking distance from the hotel. The Zieglergasse bus stop is a two-minute walk away, Kaiserstrabe Tram Stop is a four-minute walk away, Burggasse-Stadthalle Subway Station is a 10-minute walk, and Westbahnhof Train Station is 15 minutes on foot. It's a 30-minute drive or hour and 45 minutes on public transport to Vienna International Airport.

The 114 rooms and suites at Falkensteiner Hotel Am Schottenfeld are stylishly minimalist and quite spacious. All include allergy-friendly wooden floors and furniture, and most overlook the courtyard. Most rooms feature a light color palette, with light wooden floors and furniture, white and beige walls, and white linens. The Deluxe Room and Suites are a bit darker, with dark wooden flooring, dark carpet, deep red curtains, black bed runners, and large artwork on the walls. Rooms with connecting doors are available. All units feature air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, minibars, tea- and- coffee-making facilities, desks, telephones, safes, and free Wi-Fi. Bathrooms include shower/tub combos while the Suites feature both walk-in showers and tubs. Hairdryers, magnifying mirrors, and house-brand toiletries are provided. Note that twin beds are often pushed together to make a double bed, which is common in Europe.
