The hotel's interiors are devoted to the Art Nouveau style, which encompassed architecture, design, furniture, and painting. Works by Klimt and Schiele, fathers of the Viennese version of the style that originated at the turn of the 19th century, adorn the walls. In the lobby, the wood-paneled walls and columns are gilded in decorative gold highlights. The ceiling incorporates a strange harmony that the style is known for, with lights protruding from a backdrop of decorative moldings whose organic shapes contrast with the geometric recess they protrude from. The concierge desk is a polished black statement with the hotel's logo emblazoned with the stylized curves so indicative of Art Nouveau style. 

Near the heart of Vienna on the west end of the city's third district, the hotel is within walking distance of many attractions. Schwarzenbergplatz and its large beautiful fountain is right around the corner, and the Vienna concert hall (Konzerthaus) is across the street. Belvedere Palace -- once the home of the ruling Habsburg dynasty and now an art museum -- which houses Austrian treasures, including notable works by Gustav Klimt, is less than a 15-minute walk along the historical landmark's garden grounds. The nearest U-Bahn station, Stadtpark, is a nine-minute walk from the hotel, and  Vienna International Airport is about a 25-minute drive.

All 211 rooms have decor inspired by the the turn-of-the-century Art Nouveau movement. The palette mixes dark colors with bright accents; expect gray and yellow patterned carpets, geometric crown molding, wood furniture, brass Art Nouveau lamps, and black and yellow patterned bed runners. The highlight of every room is a massive custom-made headboard prominently displaying a work from Vienna's own Gustav Klimt; lamps above the piece ensure it is well-lit. Most rooms have an upholstered chaise lounge, but the bulk of the wood furniture, especially the chairs, tables, and cabinets, look a little worse for wear. Otherwise large work desks are crammed with standard amenities such as flat-screen TVs, electric teapots, cups, and not-so standard Nespresso machines. There's also a partially stocked mini-fridge, and thoughtful touches include  fresh bouquets of flowers. The bathrooms are tiled in white with blue and gold foil accents decorating the shower/tub combos. 

The hotel's Oskars lounge bar and restaurant regularly receives high marks for its variety of Viennese and Mediterranean cuisine. It's a chic spot with a dark bar and a contemporary dining room, as well as ample outdoor seating  on the sidewalk patio. A hot breakfast buffet (not included in rate) is served in its own dining room, which can  get crowded. Multiple wood-paneled meeting spaces and breakout rooms can be arranged to accommodate different events, with an industrial-size Nespresso machine on hand. There's also a small 24-hour business center with a pair of computers and a printer, somewhat seamlessly integrated into the design-heavy lobby along a back wall.
