The reception area leads directly into a lounge area where there's a small, three-stool lobby bar and several chairs surrounding cafe tables. Chairs are white or brown faux leather, and wood details add warmth while a variegated stone accent wall gives a little texture to the space. This hotel attracts a range of travelers, especially those who don't mind staying outside of the city center to save money, as rooms at this property can be half the rate of comparable hotels in the heart of the city.

Hotel Atlantis Vienna is on a busy road outside of Vienna's city center and is directly attached to the Lugner City shopping center. In addition to the shops in the mall, there are a few restaurants and cafes in the surrounding area, but not much else is around. However, the Wiener Stadthalle concert venue is a five-minute walk from the hotel and the Museumsquartier can be reached in about 20 minutes on foot. Getting to most other attractions requires driving or taking public transit. The nearest metro and tram stops (Burggasse/Stadthalle) are only a five-minute walk. Schonbrunn Palace is a 12-minute drive or 30 minutes via public transit, but some sights, including St. Stephen's Cathedral, can take a while to reach via public transit (St. Stephen's is an hour by train, but 15 to 20 minutes by car). Vienna's Central Station is about 40 minutes away via public transit, while Vienna International Airport can be reached in an hour. The hotel can arrange airport transfers and offers on-site parking, but both cost extra.

Rooms are simple and contemporary, with wood floors, white walls, wood-laminate furniture, and floral-patterned wall art that coordinates with upholstered and fabric accents. Rooms include desks, small sitting areas, and wardrobes with safes and mini-fridges.
