Bottom Line

The upscale K+K Hotel Maria Theresia is conveniently located in the trendy district of Spittelberg, a short walk from the Museum Quarter. The 132 contemporary rooms have modern if slightly corporate style, and notable features include a wellness area with a sauna and gym. A concierge is on-site to help with any specific requests like booking a babysitter or tracking down a translator for a walking tour. Early check-ins are granted based on availability and at no extra charge. It's a great pick for the location and price, but note that parking is limited and for a fee.

K+K Hotel Maria Theresia

Scene

Quiet location with quick access to top attractions

The K+K Hotel Maria Theresia doesn’t skimp when it comes to quality service and their attention to detail is notable throughout the public areas and private rooms. The wooden bar and tables in the restaurant are simple yet sleek and the cushioned chairs add personality to the otherwise classic color scheme. On a rainy day, it’s quite possible to pass the time using the hotel’s other amenities like the conference center, the wellness area, or the indoor gym. There is a spacious sofa area right in the lobby, in addition to plush leather seats, reading lamps and patterned rugs located in the Internet Corner, creating an almost den-like atmosphere. Couples, families, and business travelers seem to co-exist in harmony at the K+K Hotel Maria Theresia.

Rooms

Simple yet sophisticated rooms with the necessities of home

The rooms at the K+K Hotel Maria Theresia might not sport the latest design trends but they do cover all the basics. Wood paneling, neutral colored carpets, and white walls accented with the occasional framed picture is a consistent theme. Fully adjustable air-conditioning, granite bathrooms, high-speed Internet and fine bedding textiles make all 139 of their rooms quite comfortable. Each room features white walls decorated with framed artwork, quality fabrics, and textiles in an array of colors that add to the overall ambiance. The bathrooms are particularly more modern and made of granite and porcelain. There’s also under floor heating which is great for the cool, winter days and soundproof windows to lessen street noise. Executive Guest Rooms offer the most square footage while the Classic Double Room is on the smaller side.
