Starlight Suiten Hotel Am Heumarkt

Starlight Suiten III Heumarkt is a small-scale chain property, part of the Starlight Suiten brand with locations in Vienna and Budapest. On the whole, the property is pleasant with a few pretty details, but most of its interiors are rather forgettable. The lobby, a mix of classic and modern design, has glossy tiled floors paired with some beige carpeting. The white front desk is illuminated by spherical glass-and-gold pendant lights, one of the few design-conscious details. But seating here is basic turquoise couches and striped gray-and-turquoise chairs. The breakfast room breaks off from the lobby and has a similar design, with a few gold chandeliers and wall fixtures added to the mix. This property attracts mostly vacationing couples looking for a central location with good rates. 

Starlight Suiten III Heumarkt sits in an area with a fair amount of local restaurants, on the outer edge of the city center, just north of Stadtpark, making it accessible to major attractions and shopping areas around Vienna. It’s a 15-minute walk to Stephen’s Cathedral and the Belvedere Palace, while it takes 17 minutes on foot to reach Hofburg Palace from the hotel. The popular shopping street of Kamtnerstrasse is only an 11-minute walk away. The closest U-bahn stop is a minute's walk away, while the nearest tram stop takes six minutes to reach on foot. It’s a 25-minute drive to Vienna International Airport without traffic.

Starlight Suiten III Heumarkt has a variety of different room types available, but all are spacious with studio or apartment layouts. Most have a clean, modern design, though their white walls and simple wood furniture can read as basic. Classic Rooms also suffer from a few dated elements -- such as '80s patterned blue-and-yellow drapes or dated bedspreads -- and show some signs of wear and tear. Higher-category rooms get a touch more stylish with turquoise padded headboards, contemporary settees, and sleek wooden furniture. 

All units are equipped with flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, safes, minibars, and kettles. Classic Suites and some Prestige Suites have kitchenettes or wet bars with microwaves. Other suites have Nespresso machines. The Meeting Suite has a meeting table for up to six people, plus a terrace to take breaks during meetings. Bathroom styles differ -- some units have walk-in glass showers, while others have shower/tub combos. Deluxe Suites have separate walk-in showers and tubs. All have hairdryers and come with Aqua Senses toiletries. 

Starlight Suiten III Heumarkt has little in the way of features and nothing that’s exceptional enough to lift it above the competition. Each morning, there’s a breakfast buffet that includes eggs, sausages, cold cuts, cheeses, and fruit, but it costs extra. There's no bar or restaurant for lunch or dinner, though there are a fair few in the area. The hotel also has a small fitness center with a couple of cardio machines, a weight machine, and a few free weights plus an attached sauna. There aren't any business facilities, but Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. There's also garage parking available for a fee.
